Went over here during the weekend. The service was not great. For some reason, they were rushing us during dinner but it was... only at 7:00 pm not at their closing time. They forgot to serve us the bread as the starter, and the waiter did not get mycorrect wine order also our waiter did not bother to ask if we want any dessert at all just shoveled the check in front of us,we did want dessert and we were not ready for the check. I was very surprised this old neighborhood restaurant has such terribleservice. The fumigato and risotto was light on flavor not well seasoned Read more

I was dining with coworkers and I ordered the Spinach tortellini with Vodka sauce. Despite the large number of people, the wait... staff knew who ordered what, and when this pasta got to me, I wiped it clean. Delicious, smooth, and filling. The interior alsoadds to the ambience. It's great for any occasion. Read more

We went in the afternoon on a Friday when it wasn't that busy and I loved it. The patio is so charming and quaint, really was... such a nice place to sit back and relax. For being in the city, the prices are extremely reasonable and the food more thancompensates for it. We got the Bruschetta panini with chicken, turkey panini no bacon, penne alla vodka, and tortellini allapanna. The paninis were phenomenal as they had the perfect level of crunch, and were overall super tasty. Pasta was pretty goodtoo. Servers were super nice and I would definitely go again! Read more

Lovely Italian place with historical set up. It even has a wall of honor next to the bathrooms. The indoor dining is nice with... the vintage furniture but also outdoor backyard is cool too. Food is overall tasty but no single item stood out for our dinnerthat day. Read more

The food and atmosphere of this place was stunning. Had the Toscana Chicken off their summer special menu (see picture). The... sauce it was cooked with was incredible. The sun dried tomatoes on top paired beautifully. Wonderful live piano music made theambiance memorable. Service was attentive, courteous and prompt. Very fairly priced for modest fine dining. Don’t thinktwice. Make your reservation and go. You won’t be disappointed. Read more

I got the gluten-free pizza and was very impressed. Fresh ingredients all around. The staff was kind and helpful. I was able to... sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy the sun during the afternoon. This is a close walk to everything in Old Town. I want to comeback sometime soon for the pasta. This is an old school Chicago tradition and now I realize why it’s been around for years. Read more

Neat outdoor patio space with great service. Feels more inviting to me than some of it's surrounding neighbors, and I bet it's... really charming at night. The food is pretty good. The pizzas were fairly standard and although the spinach arugula salad wastasty it was just sort of thrown in a bowl. Fairly priced beers! Read more

The service and food at Peso’s were first level. We ordered the tortellini and asked for a modification to add peas. We also... had a linguini seafood special with arrabiata sauce, and the jalapeño gnocchi. The ambiance was dark and quiet. I liked thatthey were not playing loud music as in other restaurants, which kept the conversations quiet and intimate. The food was simplyfabulous and we will be returning soon! Read more
