We were looking for a good ethnic restaurant near Midway Airport. We were happy to find Orion which is a strange name for a... Polish restaurant but we thought we?d give it a try. We are so glad we did. Al I can say is Wow! This is probably the best foodwe have had in recent memory. The pork cutlet, beef wrapped in potato pancakes and pirogees were amazing. We had leftovers andwe heated up the next day and we?re still awesome. We will be back to Chicago just to go to Orion! Read more
Our family has been coming here for many years and everything is always amazing. They have the best soup, food and service!... (Polish and English speaking!) We just recently catered for our housewarming party and I have family members still asking wherewe got the food from. My husband and I enjoy going for lunch often - everything is always perfectly cooked and delicious. Thisis a hard working, family owned, local business that we all should support! Interesting place, nice staff food was great. I've only had polish food once before. Stuffed pork And the stewed beef on the... potato pancakes was nice. Waitress suggested we order family style and share to get full experience of the menu was a greatsuggestion. Read more

Orion offers the most authentic polish food outside of the country of Poland itself! In addition to food, they offer traditionalpolish drinks at their bar. Orion *looks like* it is out of business, but if you open the door, there is a nice, bustling little bar just inside. Beyond the... bar is a large restaurant space. To be honest, you would never expect all of this behind that door! The restaurant has alengthy menu, and it looks quite complete and interesting. Unfortunately, I only had space for one dinner, so I had the Bigos,which was a pork-and-sauerkraut stew, it seems. It was tasty and interesting, and I would certainly try it again. The servicein the restaurant was pleasant, although the only waitress did not have much English ability. But she was pleasant, and wemanaged to understand one another. Overall, a neat place, and I will happily go back to try more of their food. Read more
