My husband and I were out on a lunch date.???? This was beyond delicious. The chicken tips were so tender they melted in my... mouth. The sweet potatoes and macaroni and cheese were so good, I didn't even want to share them.????Now that corn bread, wow,was sinful ????. Everyone was so warm and friendly. Taya, was exceptional. She always had a beautiful smile and seemed to knowjust when we needed something. This place is definitely a precious gem. Thanks to the cooks and workers for a job well done. Thanks Mark and Shae, Awesome!!!!???????? Read more

Oooh Wee it is was recommended to us with very high praise from a colleague. After hearing about it we immediately made plans to... go and it exceeded our expectations. We arrived a little after opening and we were very kindly greeted and seated quickly.Marcus was our server and was very kind and provided some great recommendations on the food. I got Mark?s Pot Roast with Mac andCheese and Loaded Potatoes. The potatoes were good but the Pot Roast and Mac were divine. My girlfriend got the Jerk ChickenTips with the creole corn and the Mac and cheese. Her dad got the smothered pork chops with the candied yams and loaded mashedpotatoes. They both loved their meals as well. Our only request would be for bigger water cups but that?s not really a hugedeal. Overall we all loved the food, thought there was a great value for the money and 100% will be going back. Read more

HIDDEN GEM / NEIGHBORHOOD FIND ALERT!!! We celebrated my Dad?s birthday here in August! The restaurant is much bigger than I... anticipated and we did have to wait, but it wasn?t too long! RESERVATIONS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! We did have a wait for thefood as well, so just be prepared. The food is very good! Pot Roast Dinner, Oxtails & Grits, Catfish Dinner, and Salmon arerecommended. The Shrimp & Grits were ok. The size of grits is great! They could reduce the size of grits. The roux/gravy needs abit of seasoning & color. But, the main star? The Shrimp is ON POINT! Fried Green Tomatoes and Artichoke Dip are good appetizersto start! Read more

Really good soul food restaurant. For an appetizer we had the Pot Roast Cupcakes which is pot roast and mashed potatoes on top... of a cornbread muffin - delicious! My husband ordered the pot roast with corn and Mac n cheese and he said it was delicious. I ordered the fried catfish with greens and Mac n cheese - delicious as well. They don't do fountain drinks which is ridiculousin this day and age so you get a can of soda if you like. They have some different teas that most people order. Overall goodexperience. Read more

Finally made it to the actual restaurant on 83rd St, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had to send the catfish back because it... wasn?t hot but that wasn?t a problem. With every bite, I just kept wondering ?who is back there cooking?? This was notrestaurant quality food, this was going to your mother or granny?s house food. Like they really know something back there. Ihave to give special recognition to the lamb chops. There were seasoned perfectly and tender and downright delicious! EVERYTHINGWAS DELICIOUS! I was also impressed with the service. So happy to see young people in the inner city giving quality service.Kudos to the owners! Not pictured: Obama sweet tea. It was good but so sweet that I had to add water. ? with Stephen Henry atOooh Wee It is. Read more
