I came to this place over a year ago with my mother-in-law and my husband. We had such a great time and the food was so amazing.... I loved the festive Nola decor and the customer service was also great. Me and my husband decided to come back today and it wasstill an great experience. The food was so good. I love the avocado fries and the big easy gumbo. Not to mention the prices arereally reasonable as well. I tried the shrimp po boy for the first time and man I loved it…highly recommend this place. I wishI got our waiters names she was really nice. Read more

The facts: amazing hurricanes on draft, gumbo you could possibly die for and a staff that makes you feel very welcomed! (not to... mention the overall decoration of the room is so awesome!) My wife and I had the pleasure of stopping here after a cubs game(And the Cubs Won!) the staff was amazing, the drinks are phenomenal and the food amazing. But what set it apart for me was thestaff, management and ownership. Sunny Lin, was very kind, being a bar manager for many years my self, it was fun to talk aboutthe industry in Chicago. She was also kind enough to gift myself a sign from Abita to put into our hometown bar! Now when I’mworking I can stare at this glorious sign haha. But in all honesty, how kind and courteous everyone was, and sunny was, trulymade us beyond happy. I will post another post in the future of the sign in out bar! Until then, I highly recommended you go inthere and eat some shrimp gumbo, drink a hurricane, enjoy the kind staff, and maybe you too will be lucky enough to have thegorgeous Sunny come by your table and chat about the phenomenal aspects of the bar that is Nola! Ummm, the drinks were good. The bartender was attentive. The decor places you in NOLA. The food was very subpar. The oyster... po’ boy was sketchy due to the oysters being fried to hard and not really being oysters. The tomato glaze was very nastytruthfully. The gumbo was not good at all. I would return for the drinks and the atmosphere. The happy hour seemed to be themain event. Read more

This place is by far one of the best meals I have had in Chicago. We got the Cajun Queso and chips which had AMAZING flavor and... was perfect to share for 2 people. The Parmesan fries are cooked to perfection and the aioli that comes with them is to DIE FOR.For an entree I had the Voodoo tenders which had such and amazing flavor and balance between the citrus and the spice. Myboyfriend had the Diable Chicken Sandwich and was juicy and just the right amount of spicy. Top that off with really friendlystaff and you have yourself the perfect place. Read more

Sunny was our bartender. I grew up in the Louisiana & Alabama scene. Sunny was super knowledgeable of the classic cocktails I... grew up to know. The jambalaya tastes like childhood meals. This place is so awesome. Read more
