Out of the Puerto Rican Restaurants in Humboldt Park, Nellie’s is DEFINITELY my go to. So much so that after I was discharged... from giving birth at Northwestern Hospital, Nellie’s was my craving before heading home. We always did take out but when wefinally were able to dine in, it was a good experience. The service was a little slow due to them being short staffed, but theywere upfront about it and kept checking in on us. The kids loved the food and couldn’t get enough. Our usual order is theJibarito and Sancocho! As I am writing this, I am literally drooling and wish that I had some Nellie’s in front of me now! Read more

The breakfast jibaritos was delicious. Whatever that sauce they use was so tasty. Definitely getting this one again. The lechon... asado was pulled which was not in the description. If I knew it was pulled I wouldn’t have ordered it. I don’t like pulledmeat. It was really dry and no flavor. The rice and the side salad was really good though. The only reason why I have it a fourstar is because of the pulled pork. Read more

1st time coming here. I tried the coqui sandwich came with potatoes on the side. Very delicious! The only reason why I gave it 4... stars was because it took about 35 minutes to get a sandwich and it was not busy. I will definitely come back and try somethingelse and update this review. Read more

Boricua influencer Ivelissa Rios recommended this place and we tried it on a Sunday while visiting Chicago. It met all... expectations and more!! The service was super and the food was to die for! My hubby had the Breakfast Buffet and he loved everysingle option especially the arroz gandules and the omelets. The rest of us had the Breakfast Jibaritos perfection. Two of usare Vegetarian so we had the veggie sausage instead of ham in our sandwiches. The oatmeal is included with breakfast and I haveto say it was the best I have ever had. One of our guests doesn’t even like oatmeal and ate this one!! To go we orderedquesitos and guava pastries! Everything was delish and for sure we will be back when in Chicago. Also across the street youwill find great street murals for some serious selfies or mini photo shoot!! Read more

Honestly I don’t make many reviews but this place was too good not to rave about. The French toast was delightful homemade... style and not indulgent. The breakfast special is divine and of course that coconut oatmeal is like a family member made it foryou. I can taste the love. Absolutely exquisite spot right here Read more

So if you want a great Jibarito come here. I had the breakfast Jibarito. I also had café con leche and the coconut oatmeal all... really really good. A little slow but you have to be patient if you go out to eat. Staff shortages every where. Restaurant wasclean washrooms above average. I will go back. Read more

It’s my first time trying Puerto Rico breakfast buffet and I’m impressed! Talked to the staff a little bit while waiting for... my omelette and he said that the restaurant has been opened for 15 years. Such a great place to go for brunch with friends andfamily. Read more
