What a pleasure it was to dine in this establishment. You can go just about anywhere to get chicken, BUT not like this. Fresh,... healthy, flavorful and filling. I was pleasantly surprised to learn of the restaurants' history starting in 1987 originally aSouth African favorite. The artwork was stunning. The staff was very friendly and Fatima was so helpful while looking for mealselections. I ordered a half chicken meal with the mango lime sauce, cauliflower and garlic bread. My family and I had family night and this location gave us burnt wings and it tasted horrible. We spent over $100 together. You... should never serve your customers burnt food. I do not recommend ordering takeout from this location, or if you do Check allyour food when picking up before leaving. Read more

I definitely underestimated this place when I first stepped in. It's a fast casual spot where you can order from your phone and... get table service. They also serve wines (couldn't tell if they had a bar too). Peri peri chicken is their signature; I had itin skewer form and it had an excellent char to it. The flavor was decent, but there was definitely room for it to pop more. Thesauces help; all of them were pretty solid, but lemon herb was my front runner. The brussels sprouts were a very solid 8/10 forme. There were plenty other hearty options on menu, so you can get creative. If I lived/worked around here, I'm sure Nando'swould become a lunch break go-to spot. Read more

It is rare that I find an establishment with as pleasant a first-time experience as Nando?s Peri-Peri in Hyde Park. From the... friendly, warm greeting from the young lady at the door to the wonderful interaction with Tangie behind the register, it wastruly enjoyable. She was patient with me and answered my [many] questions about the menu and dishes and was always ready with agreat recommendations (especially since I ended up ordering for my my entire family). While waiting for my order, I alsointeracted with, and was serenaded by, Naja (who has a beautiful voice) with her composition of the Nando?s ?theme song.? Sofun! It?s about 1:45pm on Sunday afternoon, and I just left the restaurant, already looking forward to the next time I cancome, sit down, and receive the full experience of dining in.
