Someone tell this relic of a owner or whatever she is that it?s not January of 2020 anymore. I had a mask ON & am fully... vaccinated, I walked into the unlocked front entrance and was met with a furious little raisin that wanted to know why I wasthere. Uhhhh maybe to eat pizza? Best thin crust pizza I've had in many many yrs (old school). Thank you Marie's! AND do NOT assume all restaurants or shops are... mask free. There may be staff and/or high risk customers. Always look for that sign on entry. How long have we've been atthis-Not really a question. Read more
We went to Marie's Pizza Yesterday 9/3/22 and saw the lights and all was boarded the lady in the liquor store yelled wear your... mask. We were not going inside the liquor store and it is not a mandate to wear a mask not it's your option. Lady went on andon, and yelled we were rude by not wearing a mask. They need to get a better person to deal with customers. We left because theplace was boarded up and didn't want to order and wait for a pickup. Don?t get mad and scream at customers that don?t have masks when the mandate has been lifted for months. I am fully vaccinated... and boosted and always wore a mask but this nonsense was just overboard. They have a side window to pickup orders but don?t useit anymore. The only way to pick up your food is to go inside with the forced mask rule. I would have wore one but I rarelykeep one on me anymore. I won?t be coming back. I ordered a custom large pizza. Green peppers, garlic, spinach, mushrooms. The pizza crust felt premade, cheese was soggy,... tomato sauce tasted like those store shelf jarred brands. No salt, the entire thing was tasteless... could have been my choiceof toppings? I've eaten here years before and it used to be so good, best thin crust pizza. I also got screamed at for no mask. (Mask mandate lifted months ago) Ordered takeout because you can't sit in the restaurant and... then the lady gave me attitude for correcting her on the pronunciation of my name. I came here on my cheat day. What adisappointment. Pizza was garbage. It used to be great tavern style pizza with a charming old school atmosphere. The pizza usedto have that long fermented dough and crispiness of the tavern style pizza like Vito & Nick's. This tasted flavorless and was athicker style thin crust with a very sweet sauce. Really enjoyed the pizza, but the process you have to go through to get it is a bit ridiculous. I wish I lived close enough for... delivery. Nonetheless, I enjoyed a nice evening with friends on the "piazza" (parking lot with picnic tables) munching goodchicago - style thin-crust and knocking back a couple of PBRs. Btw, they don't have a tavern license, so you have to buy atleast 24 oz or more of beer, wine, etc. Hopefully they'll relax their rules a bit before they have to go out of business. Read more
This is the second time trying this place and the food is fantastic! We have had pizza and several of the appetizers and no... complaints. First, time we picked up and the staff was super friendly and second time delivery and the food came quick, hot witha smile on the driver. I'm from the south side where Vito and Nicks is the hit, so this is my Northside Vito andNicks. Definitely many more orders to come over the years! Read more
