Everyone talks about their chicken pot pie....which is great of course but I really love the salmon sandwich. The Bartender... Lacey was wonderful and efficiently quick. I'm very partial to the Krombacher on tap! I love this place. Read more

It pains me to write this review as I frequent Marge?s often and enjoy their food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, today their... service was unapologetically awful. The male bartender was condescending and rude beyond repair - I can?t imagine ever returningto this bar. Read more

Was hoping for the chicken pot pie but I missed it by about 3 weeks ???? had the burger instead. Bacon and blue cheese added... with tots and it was a damn good burger. Would definitely have it again. Bartender was very friendly (Patty). I was told it'sthe oldest running bar in Chicago. Nice little add on info.... Thanks Marge! Read more

Wow, what a great neighborhood tavern. The beer selection was very good and served in correct glasses and very cold and crisp.... The food selection was not your typical tavern. We felt like we were eating at a friend's house. If you can only order one item, order the Chicken Pot Pie! Easily the best Pot Pie I have ever eaten. Well worth the extra travel time north of the City Centerinto this charming spot in an upscale neighborhood. The decor and finishings give a glimpse into the history of this spot whichis supposed to be the oldest operating tavern in Chicago. Staff was helpful and patient with first timers. Highly recommend. A great Irish pub to spend St Patrick's or any time. Large and friendly with enough to but not so many that you don't have a pub... intimacy. One of the oldest bars in Chicago so for some people it's a destination. Guinness on tap with a great beer selection. Read more
