PAN PIZZA IS A NO GO. you are going to regret ordering this pizza. They tried to reinvent the Chicago deep dish pizza and it... was a FAIL. The dough wasn?t at that perfect crispy point that the pizza is so famous for and when you cut it into it the pizzais suppose to hold sauce, fresh ingredients and the cheese on top, but instead this pizza does everything opposite of what Ijust said. Like... It's better than sarpinos for a late night choice, but that's like saying it's better than microwaving cheese on bread.... Their pan pizza is not what pan should be, it's just a sad thin crust between really dried out pan crust. Read more
I read about M&G PIZZA 's in Serious Eats, and I just thought, "oh, another pretentious nouveau gourmet pizza place... only this... time in Berkeley". Mind you, I don't have any beef with nouveau gourmet pizza... in fact, usually I love it (except, not a fanof Pizzeria Delfina). Nevertheless, it's no secret that these types of places are popping up left and right, and while usuallygood, they are often not all that different aside from location and perhaps decor. Read more
