Location can't be beat for commuters. Extensive drink list and solid food options are available. It can get very busy.

Madison Tavern is everything one can ask for in a neighborhood favorite! Delicious and juicy house-made burgers, terrific and... tasty tacos (my favorite on Tuesdays!), fresh salads, and plenty of app choices to share or to make a meal out of ifinterested. Great place for an after-work cocktail or tap beer too! Read more

Slow service. Sat ourselves, no waiter for 15 minutes. Ordered food, took over an hour. 45 mins between drink refills. Forced a... 20% tip on us because there were five people in our party. Was able to get that removed because the service was so bad. I gotabout 10 fries with my burger too. I work in the building and won't be coming here again anytime soon, shame because the foodis good but the service/staffing is horrible. Read more

I went here for corporate lunch and this place is good for events like this as well as casual dining. Ambience is amazing. But... weird thing happened was even after reservation for 12 people beforehand, waitress suggested us to divide in 2 groups and takeseparate tables which didn’t make sense- but this issue was sorted later. Anyways coming to food I ordered pasta primavera andi must say it was most disgusting pasta i have ever had - very dry, no cheese in it, just wasn’t good. On the other handyellow curry was better which my teammate ordered. But they have tons of vegetarian options. Read more

I grabbed dinner here recently and it was pretty good. The restaurant is a large space with plenty of tables and high-tops... available and a bar in the center. I ordered their buffalo chicken quesadilla and it was extremely good. It was extremelytasty, not overly spicey, and great presentation. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I was literally in and out ofthis place in 30 minutes and it was extremely busy with most tables filled. The restaurant was very easy to spot right off ofW. Madison Street. The location is pretty loud, with a bar-like (hence tavern) atmosphere. If you're looking for somewherequiet, this might not be it. Overall a great experience and certainly a spot I'd head back to. Nice food and convenient for transportation. Can be a bit loud during happy hour but not in a bad way.

Good place to stop for happy hour after work. It's a pretty standard bar with decent service and a good selection of drinks.... They always tend to have a good selection of local craft beers from around Chicago, including from some breweries that you don'tnormally see much of. Read more
