Oh my dear goodness, the SALMON!! I discovered from one of the servers that the person who cooks it is called Juan, and I... believe this person to be MAGIC. I ordered it twice, because it was so dang delicious I had to eat it again the next day!! I wasliterally daydreaming about it while I was in the Art Institute museum. ???? Cannot recommend this place enough. We were staying at Palmer House for a relaxing birthday weekend and decided to just go downstairs to Lockwood for my birthday... dinner. Staff were all nice, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Cozy ambience with dim light. We started with the flat bread,it was nice and crispy with fresh tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. I ordered the 10oz filet mignon and he ordered the 10oz 45-dayaged ribeye, and we ordered a side of the corn with chili. Both steaks were good but we have had better, the fingerling potatoeswith chorizo were alright, and my garlic aioli pommes frites were good, and the corn was very good. The carrot cake was great.It was a nice evening for not having to leave the hotel, but there are definitely better restaurants for this price point. Read more
I ordered their BBQ salmon and while the fish was cooked fairly well and had great flavor, it seemed very small considering the... price. I understand that it is restaurant hotel pricing, just expected a bit more. The salad that came with it also had greatflavor, just had more dressing than I normally like, so I suggest getting it in the side. The carrot cake was very good. Read more
