Tried to enter at 7pm on a Saturday. Was greeted with a very rude bouncer that proceeded to yell at me for not having my ID... ready. I tried explaining to him that we were only there to have a meal, no alcohol, and didn’t realize the requirement whichhe very rudely responded with “You have to have an ID to eat, stupid.” My friends and I left in a rush. At least have a signstating ID requirements. Would not recommend. Read more

Look. I came to LG's after running the Chicago Marathon for a couple beers and a quick bit. Had a couple beers and ordered the... Buffalo chicken dip and chips. It was exactly what I wanted and then some. The dip was spot on and beers were cold. Missionaccomplished. Read more

Shockingly bad experience for lunch. Staff is clearly not trained, as our server didn't even offer to take our drink order and... was completely unconcerned that a great deal of what we ordered went uneaten. She did not ask if we liked our food. She did notask if we wanted to go boxes. Menu descriptions are incomplete. Perhaps that's why we were each asked individually if we hadfood allergies - mystery ingredients. Kitchen staff is also in serious need of training. French fries came in a large clump foreach of us. How can a pub not get fries right? Sandwiches are impossible to eat by hand. No one in our party was happy. Thehandheld debit system either was not working or the staff has not been trained how to use it. It took at least 15 minutes ofrepeated attempts to get it to work. All the while, the manager was sitting at the bar, watching the staff struggle with thepayment system and eating his own lunch. Clusters of staff stood around together, talking to one another and ignoringcustomers. Please train your staff!! More importantly, train your management or hire someone with experience to get it right. It's been weeks since we were there and I'm still upset that we had to pay a dime for that disappointing food and horrendous"service". And it wasn't cheap, by the way. Only the woman who refilled our water seemed to care about providing a goodexperience. I cannot fathom why the owner of this establishment would put so much money into the decor and think that's allhungry people care about. On the up side, the bathrooms were clean. Read more

Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We stopped in for drinks and were given excellent recommendations on where to go for a... great taco and sushi. They had yellow spot 21 year and it was reasonably priced for the double neat pours we were getting. Wewent back the next day and will be back the next time we are in Chicago. Read more

Food was surprisingly delicious here for a bar food. Their kitchen closes at 9pm and we ordered at 10 min before 9, but for... being that late,, their food was still amazing. Drinks were great too. They card at the door and it's open seating and selfservice. We only got our food delivered but order at the bar and brought our own drinks to the booth. DJ was ok, but the crowdwas so young it felt like a college party. Overall pretty good. Read more

A tale of two sandwiches. It’s a nice atmosphere. Prices are reasonable on drinks. It took about 40 minutes to get our pretzel... appetizer. We didn’t complain about the hour wait for food because it pushed us into happy hour. Both of us ordered chickensandwiches. One was a big chicken breast. Mine was a thin small piece. The “guacamole spread” smelled like peas, notguacamole. Server was good. Very nice. Overall we enjoyed it. Read more

The atmosphere of LG’s is outstanding. They have a very intimate and modern feel for an Irish pub. Great fit for old town /... Wells St. interesting decor all around, with one room themed like a wine cellar and another lined with bookshelves. The menuhas some good options and interesting takes on what you might consider traditional bar food. I went with the short rib cheeseburger and it was excellent. The presentation was decent and the quality of meet was very good. We did nachos and Brusselssprouts as an app and both were very good. The service was decent. The server disappeared for periods of time and did not haveany knowledge on the wines or whiskeys offered, but she was very friendly. For have a wine cellar themed room, I would expect amore extensive wine list. They only have about 6 different wines. Also, they have an expansive whiskey menu, but then were outof the first selection we ordered. Overall, our experience was great. The atmosphere is impressive and the food was very good.I recommend getting some good wines on your menu and take Bogle off the list. You have the clientele that will buy it in oldtown. Read more

Lovely atmosphere with a warm buzz of conversation, unlike loud sports bars nearby. They had up beautiful Christmas decorations... when we visited, but the interior is so unique and cozy even without that! The Brussels sprouts were delicious! We were also ina time crunch, and our waitress did well to keep things moving for us. Read more
