This is a great place to get fresh seafood in Chicago. This place is a good balance of price and food quality. On one extreme... other restaurants charge you an arm and leg for fresh oysters and you can't even afford rent after going home. Other extremerestaurants fry fish for cheap but are takeout and cash only and make you wait forever. This seems like a good balance. There isample seating, decently clean bathrooms, and quick cooking. Fried oysters feel like melted butter. Their sauces are all prettygood as well. Read more

The food was okay. It was fresh, just not seasoned well. I'm from DC and wanted to try it because the locals recommended it.

So i finally made it out to this iconic seafood stand in the South area near Chinatown. The place was very modern for being... established 7 decades ago. If you really luv fried seafood, this is for you. Everything I ordered was very good, but mypalette got ?bored? with the mono-chromatic taste of breading. Having said that though, I would urge to add other non-friedtextures when you take it to-go. One other thing, read carefully on the menu fish chips. Its fish nuggets and there are NOFRIES. My quick glance read it as ?fish & chips?; but the ?&? is missing. Its ok but I felt bamboozled! Read more

First time being here and my experience was horrible, the guy at the front seemed so uninterested about his job. When i asked... him if half a pound shrimp would be enough for two, he said ?i don?t wanna answer that, i don?t feel like answering.? Then theFOOD TASTED HORRIBLE, i wasn?t expecting the fish to taste fresh but jesus, the taste of this thing was far from tasting good.it tasted like it?s been in and out the freezer and it tasted like a week old fish. and i was tasting cleaning products when itook a bite into the shrimp and the taste of cleaning product was HEAVY, like someone mixed it in with the batter. Couldn?t getthe taste out of my mouth for hours and felt sick. If it was possible to rate a restaurant 0 stars, this would be my firstrecommendation, i don?t know if the night time crew just don?t do their job properly but this was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and iwould not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone. DO BETTER so you don?t give your customers food poisoning Read more

Great seafood place. Fresh. The best part is they?re open 24 hours, so when you come late from out of town there?s still open.
