Wen we came in to pick up our order, the restaurant had a terrible smell, not of a seafood house but of dirty mop water. We got... the half lb shrimp and half clam strips. They were nice and hot wen we picked them up which was a plus but it ended up keepingme up all night being sick. While food was tasty in the moment, it had us concerned with overall cleanliness. Maybe new mopheads, cleaning supplies and fabulouso will help. Read more

I went there yesterday evening at about 7:30 pm and ordered a lb of lightly battered shrimp with French fries. When I got home... and tried to eat the shrimps, I realized that I had been sold some shrimps that had probably been cooked earlier that day. Thebatter was hard and the shrimps were cold. The food tasted like it had been reheated. Read more

Very friendly and helpful employees. Everything they sell has to be from frozen . Not from fresh, but Chicagoins Luv it. Not... seasoned or has taste. Not sure why they like it. Now everything on the menu is A LA Carte.. one pound of shrimp is what I had$18 maybe 15 because it was the special. French fries were $4. Juice was $3. Each item came in its own brown paper bag. Ask forplates but no compartment to go trays anymore. The catfish we got was 2 pieces $20 looked like Jack fish or whiting. I was toldit was good. The fish chips are ridiculous tasting and hard. Who knows what kind of fish is in them. Try for yourself but lookat the menu online first at pricing. Not worth the money when there are fresh crab restaurants everywhere now with differentseasonings. Read more

I love Lawrence's shrimp. It is the only thing we get when we come to Lawrence's. If you like breaded shrimp you have to try... this shrimp. The staff was friendly and our food was ready pretty quick. Read more

The service was fast and friendly. The fish was hot and crispy just the way that it should be. I was pleased with that. The... negative was that the fish and shrimp were flavorless. There needed to be salt or something to add flavor. I'll give itanother shot Read more

Came in town, friends highly recommended. I?m so disappointed. Fish is so hard, the meat is dried and it has no taste as a... result. Crab cakes were good. Shrimps were dry and cold. $40 down the drain. Read more

What a pleasant Saturday morning surprise! I woke up in the early hours of the morning with a pretty large appetite, but I... wasn't in the mood for the usual 24-hour fare (wings, burgers, gyros, etc.). It dawned on me that Lawrence's would be open. Ihad driven by it enough times on my daily commute, but I had not before patronized. So, away I went. Despite a decent crowd ofwhat I assume were club goers and other late-night/early morning folk, the staff at Lawrence's were attentive, in good spirits, and quick in turning over the orders. I didn't wait more than 12-13 minutes for completely fresh catfish strips and friedshrimp. The young man responsible for packaging the orders was also very generous with napkins, ketchup, cocktail sauce, andother condiments. I'll definitely return! Read more
