Lagunitas is a gem in that area. The parking us free and walking in the doors have interesting colors. The hallways and stairs... to go upstairs to the restaurant have all been beautifully decorated. They do card at the entrance. The restaurant part is onthe 2ns floor and you pass by many window looking into the actual brewery and even offer tours on weekdays. The bar has theflight option where you get to try 8 different beers. The food is a basic American for burgers, friend fish, mussels etc. It haslive music many nights in the week. I recommend for big groups. Staff is very nice and helpful Read more
Loved it. Amazing trip to the factory and fresh pints of lagunitas. Lots of choice and quite strong. Massive queue to the bar... but totally worth it! We spent there a couple hours or so. The whole thing is an experience in itself and one of my strongestmemories of Chicago. We have the brews available locally so it was nice to be able to go to the factory and see it allproduced... The factory was operating and it was interesting to see. You get to walk about the machinery and so have a greatview of everything. There's a good sized bar area with some tables and food served (it looked amazing, but we didn't have timeto order). The selection of drinks is quite good and they're not disappointing! The whole thing looks pretty inconspicuous fromthe outside and would be easy to miss. Apart from the busy bar, it wasn't really overcrowded - we were able to wander aroundquite freely Read more
Went to the Lagunitas Brewing Company for a private event. You walk down the hallway with black and neon glow lighting... (psychedelic) while listening to the song "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka. You are transported to another world whereallmost anything and everything is possible. The "Basement" party/ room is very eclectic with bright colors and differentinteresting objects all around. The theme is fun fun fun. A playground exclusively for adults. There are a couple of videogames as well as jenga and score four (in adult sizes) to play with, and the atmosphere/decor is a mix of fantasy, the unusualand absurd items as well as comfortable chairs/sofas and tables to sit at and enjoy your favorite Lagunitas beer and somefood. The Basement is available for rental and has a capacity for 150. Lagunitas brewery also offers three other options forrental: The Living Room with a capacity of 75, The Gallery with a capacity for 30, and the Taproom with room for 300. Theyalso offer catered food such as chicken wings, smoked pork and beef sliders, salsa, guacamole & chips, grilled cheese bites, smoked mac and cheese, salad bowl, as well as varied sandwich platters. Take the brewery tour, it is very interesting and theyoffer samples at the end. This wasn't my first time at Lagunitas brewery and it certainly won't be my last! Read more
As you arrive there is a large parking lot for convenience then afterwards you can just come in. There is someone at the front... to let you know where you need to go. The hallway on the weekend was empty but nevertheless as you keep walking the lights andpaint distracts you. When you get to the second floor and get to the store you can buy Lagunitas clothes among other items. Thenyou will find the bar where you can watch sports and when at got there, it was football. You get to seat with other people andfeel free to enjoy. Our server quickly came around and got our order. Tried the 8 different flavors of beer and the tostada's.Both good to try and before we finished we took the tour solve it's done every hour. The tour is short but precise with goodinformation of the place. Overall it was a good choice to stop by and know what the place is about. We had to leave but therewas a couple of musicians playing so maybe next time we will stay for a longer period of time. Read more
Great place to try the different beers of the Lagunitas Brewery. The taproom is located on an upper floor with glass windows to... look at the different production floors of the brewing and filling steps. The beers great with a strong emphasis on the hoppingof you like the flavors of hop. They serve barfood like burgers, nachos, wraps, and muscles cooked in beer and wine. All food wehad was tasty and the nachos are a super big portion. The staff was very friendly and attentive and on Thursday night there islove music. Great place to come after work with friends or colleagues for a beer and snack! Read more
Was in the Chicago area over a particular weekend and I had to check out Lagunitas. I had long heard of the amazing entrance,... but you have to see it to believe it. The men at the front door were very hospitable and funny. If you can make the long walk, and subsequent stairs, up to the brewpub you won't be disappointed. Great atmosphere with board games, books, and cornhole. Hada burger and my girlfriend enjoyed their pull pork sandwich. Take yourself on a self-guided tour of the facility via catwalk orjoin one of the free tours they offer. Pretty cool place that I look forward to returning to in the future. Read more
