Reviews for La Palapa in Chicago, IL
I was invited to dinner at La Palapa for a birthday celebration, I know that this is a seafood restaurant and I'm not a seafood... person, so I had the Carne asada. It was fantastic, so glad I went. Read more
The atmosphere was nice, clean and cozy. The food was ok. It's really ideal to enjoy time with friends or family as a... group. The BYOB is definitely an over charge if it's only two people, but worth it if it's over 6 people. Read more
Service was good, the waitress was nice. However, the food was the opposite. The arrachera plate was salty and gross. The meat... was cut thin and then thick, the beans were salty too. My gf ordered the seafood (7 mares) soup and it had no flavor. Spent over70 for this, def not coming back. Read more
This is a great place to eat Mexican seafood. There is always a crowd that lets you people are willing to wait. I wish they... have a bigger parking. The empanadas de cameron are good a appetizer. The shrimp in aguachile was not spicy at all. I do notknow if is becuase we ordered them black peppered. I enjoyed the mariscada which is great for a two and i think it is moreeconomical. I would come again. Read more

Delicious food and great service. This place offers a variety of mexican dishes with a twist. They served fish ceviche and... jalapeños dip with tortillas on the house. Crab legs are market price. Loud mexican music plays in the indoor-outdoor diningarea. Th3 music drowns out the busy street nearby. Beautiful beach vibe and decor throughout. They offer a lot of seafooddishes, too. Overall, this was a nice dining experience. Read more
