I love Ali he is a great business man that makes me to started going to the place every weekend with friends for a year now... however I had a very terrible experience with this old man who wasn’t friendly at all. I went there around 11pm obviously thekitchen was close but I was so hungry I told him if I can get some fries which he agreed then I remember that I need some cheesefor my fries because he said he can’t get me some wings this old man yelled at me like A child as if I was going to eatfree.After waiting for over 40Min seeing that he was busy he ignored me after attending other people and then came back and saidhe is not serving me and the kitchen is closed and he is not about playing games with me he talked down to me I told him Idon’t want to be rude tried to make him understand that I just want to tell him that I wanted some cheese but he didn’t careI was so embarrassed in front of other people who were like what’s going on however I tried to reason with him but he shut medown and asked me to get out.. I don’t know if he has a personal issue with me which I don’t think that’s the case.But Ireturned home starved tonight I am still asking myself what is the mistake I have made by asking what happen anyway Ali alwaysmade us feel home and we never had this bad experience. I don’t want to say that he is racist but he was talking to other verycalmly and I saw him attentive to new customers who came in.We respect elders in my home country so I didn’t want todisrespect him but I told him my mind and left after letting him know that I don’t want to disrespect him several times.. Great pizza here! This is a hidden gem in Andersonville. There's pool, darts, lots of tv's to watch sports and the owner is... great. A must go to place. GET THE PIZZA! Read more
Stopped by after 11 the other night. We’re not from chicago but this was the only place in the neighborhood that was still... open and supposedly still serving food and beer. 1 bartender that was nice and prompt but we ordered food and after 25 minutesof waiting for the food he came by to tell us it’s still going to be awhile. Didn’t really elaborate why either just saidsorry. We were really hungry and not sure if it is a staffing issue or what the problem was but unfortunately we decided toleave, still hungry. Walked by this place on the way to hop leaf and there was one patron inside. Finished dinner at hopleaf and decided to come in,... with the same single patron finishing his last shot and beer round. $5 PBR tall boys on Tuesday, which is nice but there's avery weird quietness to this place. I'm sure it's more lively on the weekends, as there's pool, darts, karaoke and the like. I'mnot sure if better marketing on the exterior or more specials would help bring more people in, it's a very chill place but Iworry for it's eventual shuttering at this pace. Read more
This is my favorite bar in the area hands down, and it's all because Olie the bar tender is a wonderful human!!! This place is... so much fun! Come for karaoke and stay for everything else!! They have darts and pool, and a jukebox! The food is prettygreat too! Read more
