Reviews for Kimski in Chicago, IL
Got a little bit of everything from here and the other restaurant on site at Maria?s to do a little tasting and everything was... great. Fun take on the classic pierogi and super interested to get back and check out the rest of the Polish x Korean fusionmenu items. Read more
It looks alright but it was extremely disappointing. I am visiting from California and was very excited to try this fusion... restaurant, there is no online menu and I read they had seasonal menus so hopes were high. They didn?t have two of the mostinteresting things on the menu, the bim bim bap and the spicy cucumbers. So I got fries, wings and perogies because I figured atleast one of them had to be good. I was wrong. None of them were flavorful, not even the fries which are packed with topics.Somehow they managed to make the food look appetizing but taste absolutely boring. I came to the conclusion that this is justbar food, not the gastronomic experience I was expecting. It sounds like once it was good but that?s definitely not the casenow. Read more
I have had two nice visits to Kimski. Their food is creative and tasty. Maria?s standard sausage is a great value and one of the... best sausage-on-a-buns in the city. The kimchi is very good. The Pierogi are great. The bar has 20 beers on tap. Really great Read more
Kimski is a store front right by Maria's bar and liquor store. After placing an order at the front counter and paying for it ... you wait for food tobe brought to your table. Ko.po burgers pretty darn good. There is a large variety of beers.???????? Read more
the perogies were AMAZING and we also got the dumplings and fries. All good stuff. Perfect little bits of dried garlic bits in... there too. Yum. Katie was super friendly and helpful. Seemed like she's worked there awhile. Here's a pic of their menu, although they do change it often which is great. Love the surprise. Read more
Wow, this restaurant felt way too cool for me. Came by on a Sunday evening to see a huge party going on in the back, apparently... part of their monthly "Brunch-ski" series. My girlfriend and I came for the food so we just hung out in the patio space outfront, which was still great. We were both blown away by our meals. She ordered the pork belly bowl, which was perfectly cookedand spicy. I went with the Dduk Bbok Ski with a side of bulgogi beef at the cashier's recommendation - she said they had beenbrought back by popular demand, and I can totally see why. Super chewy and delicious. I'd love to come back and see how thespace changes during a more casual night! Read more
Simply amazing. An incredible and inventive menu, delicious food and a relaxing setting combine for a unique dining experience... in Bridgeport. The Puff Daddy, a cheeseburger wherein the bun is replaced by Pizza Puffs, is one of their signature dishes, andrightly so. Who would?ve thought that something like that would even work? The service is friendly and your order is readyquickly. Absolutely worth a visit. Read more
More form than substance, Kimski is above average bar food. We had two polish, two wings and a pierogi and the total, with tip,... came out to nearly 80 bucks. For that we get desultory service, cheap napkins and plastic utensils. Good but not great. We won'tbe going back. Read more
