Great value for what I paid. The potatoes (my love language is potatoes) were phenomenal. The cabbage andbacon were very fresh. And I did not know macaroni and cheese could taste so good. Ordered nearly half the menu for work. Generous portions, fairly priced and everything was DELICIOUS! We sampled everything, the... greens, cabbage had amazing flavor. Cornbread was moist and just the perfect amount of sweet. Yams and grits were my co workersfave. My favorite was the banana pudding which was super fluffy. We will order again! Read more

Decided to use the Groupon I purchased from them during my lunch break. So I ordered the three oven-roasted honey BBQ wings with... a side of candied yams, the shrimp with grits, a side of mac n cheese, and one corn muffin. It's good. I'm eating it in mycubicle right now, true story! LOL it was a bit of a wait (like 20 to 25 minutes), but they had a lot of customers and it wasduring lunch time rush hour (12 PM to 1 PM). The yams are really good. They have a slight crisp on top of them from the bakedsugar and spices. The honey BBQ wings were okay. I liked the BBQ sauce, but after you finish eating the wing, there's a bit of asalty after taste. So maybe they should go a little easier on the salt for the wings. The cornbread muffin was bomb AF. They aresweet and MOIST. I hate when people make extra dry cornbread. So this was refreshing. The muffins are pretty sweet. So I tookthem and dipped them in the grits from the shrimp and grits. The buttery grits balance out the sweetness of the muffins verywell. I loved the shrimp and grits! The shrimp were jumbo, and I got about 8-9 pieces in the grits. Good size as well. The onlything I didn't like was that one of the shrimp wasn't deveined. The rest of them were deveined, though. So it’s all good.Overall, I would definitely recommend and will be going back. I ordered the combo shrimp and jerk chicken pasta . The shrimps were cooked perfect and the jerk chicken was tender the honey... muffin was excellent the only reason I didn’t give a five star is because The pasta was Starchy and there was not enoughAlfredo sauce but over all this was worth the money I will return to try other menu items . I went here with my 2 daughters for our mother daughter day brunch. I had the salmon topped with delicious creamed Spinach, yams... and macaroni and cheese also tried the banana pudding which was ok but wasn’t made from scratch but tasted like the boxpudding. Still enjoyed my meal though my daughter’s were pleased with their meal also. My green spinach smoothie was deliciousalso. My first time at the French market and will come again to Kathryn’s soul good soul food and reasonable priced. Read more
