Our server was so sweet and very attentive! She warned us that the kitchen had just completed a catering order so it might be a... bit of a wait - it wasn?t any longer than a usual wait for food, though! We sipped on the house brew coffee. It?s good enough toenjoy black! I had a fried egg sandwich with veggie bacon, my partner had the crunchy french toast. I?d def recommend the frenchtoast and getting a side of their potatoes! Super cute spot for breakfast. Got the potato pancakes which were only so-so. I thought they were going to be more like latkes... but they were really just a super dense hashbrown. Would get something else if I went again. Read more
This place was absolutely phenomenal, really enjoyed all of the food. Cinnamon roll was great to split between 2 people. Would... definitely recommend the breakfast burrito with their house made chorizo and the chilaquiles. They are larger portion so youhave enough to take home and enjoy later on. Good service, and the food was fresh and well made. I had the California Benedict; was very excited about the sriracha... hollandaise, however I couldn?t taste any sriracha, or any spice.. still a very nice breakfast, just basic stuff you couldeasily whip up at home. Service was ok, drinks were good, but food wasn?t good at all on my last visit. French toast were stiff as hell, as if they were... sitting around for a long time. Chorizo was dry and void of any flavor. Kanela is normally a solid breakfast place, but thisMilwaukee address is hit or miss. Read more
