Reviews for Jimmy's Gyros & Grill in Chicago, IL
Hole-in-the-wall restaurant close to many popular tourist attractions in the city. Inside area is quite narrow with stools... around the perimeter for indoor dining. Menu is simple and features classic grill and gyro favorites. Food is quickly servedafter being freshly made on the grill. Prices are a bit high due to location but this spot always pulls through when in need ofsome late night grub. Read more
Really good very small local gyro and sandwich shop. Got the lamb gyro and the wet beef sandwich and ate them there. Not a lot... of counter space not really a dine in experience, probably more of a take-out joint. Definitely a great place to stop and trythe local ethnic foods. Read more
If you are looking for a cheap but delicious meal in the area, then this is the perfect place. This small spot in the middle of... the busy area is a must. It was not my first time to this spot, and in fact, I've already been here a lot of times just becausetheir food is really great, as well as the prices, and, of course, the customer service. It is literally a cute spot where youwould walk in and you would go straight to the counter. There are no tables inside, but there is actually a table on both sidesof the place and just a few seats. Even with this, the place was clean, like the whole place was clean, which I think is moreimportant than it being small. They have a variety of options on their menu, and a few of my favorites are definitely theirburgers and hot dogs. I ordered their Chicago style hot dogs and fries. The service was quick. The food is also fresh and hotconsidering that it is made to order. One of my favorites is their Chicago-style hot dogs because they taste really deliciousand authentic at the same time. The fries are also crispy, and they are seasoned perfectly with salt. I just really like to stopin here whenever I have the chance because it is a really good spot with delicious and affordable comfort foods. Read more
Really good pretty fast service barely any wait time. The food is really good but if you're vegetarian don't get the salad.
Its a cool little spot downtown. We went I'm specifically for the Chicago style dog. Service was great. They took our order at... the counter, made the order in a matter of minutes and called our number when it was ready. The dog was nothing special. It wasa hotdog on a soggy bun with all the fixins on top. I had no complaints about the taste. It was okay. We probably won't be backbecause it's not something that really wowed us but then again we live 2000 miles from this place. It is what it is. Read more
Jimmy himself greeted us at the door and welcomed us in. I enjoy supporting small business and it is a plus to meet the owners... as well. I've been craving a gyro all month and finally caved in. (Sliding scale "vegan" here) My gyro was filled with deliciousmeat. Yummy yummy. Every bite was full of flavor. The meat was tender and not dry. I also tried the fries, cheese sticks, andbrownie. The staff was friendly and I recommend leaving them a honorable tip for their hard work. Best gyros downtown! Read more

1st time in Chicago and was determined to eat my 1st Chicago hot dog, while visiting. I saw Jimmy?s from across the street as... we were headed to Willis Tower. We stopped in after our visit and we just missed a food tour, we ended up having the wholeplace to ourselves. It was delicious as expected. Staff was friendly and seemed to get a kick out of my enthusiasm for my firstChicago dog. It was a great find in the city and I felt it was just as authentic as you could get anywhere. This place issmall, and can easily get overlooked, so keep your eyes peeled for small restaurant that is big on Chicago taste. Read more
