Food is always delicious and hot. I dislike that they took the mac out from being a side with the dinners(you have to buy it as... a separate side) because they mac is good compared to other jerk spots. Fairly priced, with decent size servings. Read more

This place is great. When all the other restaurants in this section of the "hood" are closed I can always count on this place. I... work late and I called in an order at 10:20 pm, 25 minutes later just like the nice lady told me by phone, I stop by and pickedup my order. Everything went smooth. I ordered the goat curry and jerk chicken. sides were greens, cabbage, red beans/rice, andyams. The goat curry was so ???? yummy, very flavorful and lots of meat. Jerk chicken was also very tasty. The sides especiallythe greens and cabbage were almost the best I have every had. Some places you just get cooked greens and cabbage, not here, forexample the greens had some other veggies in there and and other ingredients and was so wonderful. Could really tell someone whoknew how to cook made these with absolutely LUV ?? I'm from the south and have experience with "Southern" food very similar tothis that my mom made, but I guess in Chicago it's been appropriated and called now called "Soul" food, I called my mom to lether know and she just laughed, and told me Southerners been eating very similar foods like this for years and was very proud toknow it also lives on as "Soul" food. Anyway this place is great, give it a try. oh yeah just thought I would mention that I ama white man and have had absolutely no issues at all coming and picking up food here. Everyone has been very nice, the place issafe, so no worries, I hate to have to even point this out, but I didn't want you scared white northsiders and/or suburbanitesmissing out on wonderful food! our wings were burnt and dried out. Not to mention how small they are. te wings were so burnt you couldnt even mask the taste... with the jerk sauce. My husband and I are very disappointed. Oh and the macaroni and cheese was very bland and the greens wereflavorless. The bread and red beans and rice were good. I Dont recommend. They need to do better. Wont be back for awhile. Read more
I had plaintains ..cabbage..dark meat..and mac and cheese..only thing I would've liked more of ..is a tab bit more meat..moreso... thighs..I received half of a thigh.. but other than that 9/10 ..food was hot..service was about a 15 wait, which isn't long..sothat was a plus too. Read more
