My girlfriend and I used to visit Jaleo in DC. It helped introduce tapas and paella to an American audience. We have now been... married for 21 years and spent our anniversary at Jaleo Chicago. The menu has a wonderful mix of tapas, paella and otherSpanish entrees. But unless you are really looking for a paella I would go with the tapas. They have the traditional ones youexpect - cheeses and meats. The croquettes had actual pieces of meat in them, not a puree. Check out a few of their own tapas.The chorizo wrapped in potato was very good. We also enjoyed the fried eggplant with honey and lemon zest. The staff is veryknowledgable and friendly. They have an extensive wine list and cocktail menu (it was gin week). It is a bit pricey but worthit. Read more
My beloved bride and I came here because it has a great mix of vegetarian and carnivore pleasing dishes. Must order dishes -... Ferann Adria Liquid Olive, queso Massimo, Patatas Bravas, iberico sliders The service was good and properly paced out the mealbut could have been more attentive for $100 per person. Came here for drinks and a bite with a friend. The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious! We loved the gambas al... ajillo so much we ordered it twice! We came here for happy hour two weeks ago and again last week. The first time we came we ordered almost one of everything on the... happy hour menu and we were satisfied with the food and drinks. However, the second time we came, which was only a week apart,the price increased and the portion decreased. We got the same chicken croquettes and got 5 the first time with a pretty chickenplate, and only 4 the second time with a normal plate. Our food was delicious and the service was exceptional! We loved everything we ate and drank.
