Nice neighborhood no frills Taqueria, that's got good food for a nice price. Their Vegetarian selection is limited, but what... they do have is tasty. The best is their Red Salsa. If they sell that by the pint, I would load up, it's so good. BreakfastBurrito for 6 dollars, giant burrito for 9 bucks. And the veggies are nicely roasted. Read more
Something about not being sober carves a burrito-shaped hole in my heart. Their tacos clear the sadness out of me faster than... Chris Hanson can clear out an Applebee's. Just walking up to the place the smell is a dead giveaway that they're not messingaround. You're going to get that yumyum taco happy feeling you THOUGHT you could only get after five shots of fireball whilecompletely sober. I'm going home and pouring my antidepressants down the sink. Maybe I set myself up for failure by having high expectations, but I refuse to gaslight myself. The food sucked. The nacho... chips were at least a week old, incredibly stale, and the toppings were underwhelming. Whoever took the DoorDash photos iscriminally deceiving. Also got the steak burrito and 3 tacos, none of which had redeeming qualities worth mentioning. I reallywanted to like it, but unfortunately I won’t be ordering again. Read more
The lengua was cut way too thickly. The al pastor, beans, and rice all needed more seasoning. The horchata separated to the... bottom of the cup, so it tasted like water until I realized what happened. After remixing, it was gritty. This was the worsthorchata I've ever had, and I am easy to please when it comes to horchata. Read more
This place has been around a long time. The food is ok. It could be better for the amount of time they have been around. Rice... and beans are tasty I had the chicken burrito and Chile relleno dinner.I’ve never had Chile rellanos with sauce on them. Theywere ok. Chicken burrito needs work. The chicken has a sauce that I wasn’t crazy about. All in all they do well for themselvesand the neighborhood loves them but the food can use a little more love. They got a little tricky with the coupons which Iwasn’t fond of. The stars of the show are the staff. Amazing customer service. They were very nice and accommodating. Read more
Fine local burrito joint. It is priced pretty well considering its location. Food matches that price. Is there better burritos... in Chicago? Yes, but they aren't in Lincoln Park and the cost will be much more. The contactless ordering was a first. Rice wasprobably 5/10 and sauces didn't do it for me, but most sauces don't. Read more
Food at BEST was barely seasoned, especially the burrito with such an alluring photograph on uber eats, that I should mention... has less flavor than your average taco bell dollar menu item. Yet charged 5 times the price? Salsa can only carry food so far,but when the base product is so below the bar of being considered "food" you should be paying people to try your low effortmeals and improve them instead of charging above average for slop.
