The staff was very nice and patient with us since this was my first time there. The cookies were warm and delicious. I will be... back. The only thing I didn't like was there's more to choose from online. I didn't see all the flavors here in store. They onlyhad a 4pk for the deluxe cookies which sucks because you only save $.50 per cookie. They offered 6 different flavors so you endup paying $32 for 8 cookies ????. It's a nice treat from time to time but not a place to go everyday price wise. Hopefully theywill add more flavors or maybe this was just an off day for then. When we placed our order, Insomnia estimated 20-30 minutes for delivery. After 45 minutes, we called, and they said our order... was next up at the bakery and it would be another 20-30 minutes. 1.5 hours after our order and another 45 minutes afterconfirmation the bakery started our order, we called, and they still had not begun baking our order. Insomnia offered no realapology or recourse for the disruption to one night. And, yes, we ordered direct through Insomnia, and we had entered a customtip way above the maximum option. Read more
If I could give a 0 I would. I just left June 20th at 12:50. There was a worker their who insisted on putting up chairs when the... store was relatively packed with customers and still open , he rudely asked us to move but due to space being small there wasno where to go. He proceeded and hit me three times, my father saw and said hey watch out and the worker had the audacity to saywell I told you to move. Keep in mind it?s Father?s Day and my sister and I where simply trying to get desert with our dad ,then when it was finally our turn we told him our order and immediately he said we don?t have that in a very rude tone. Then weasked what they did have and he said two options that we clearly didn?t want even though we saw him serve the other two guestwith cookies that we had asked for. Clearly this man shouldn?t be in customer service, as someone who has worked customerservice for many years, you don?t normally clean up shop so vigorously unless the shop is relatively empty. This store holds a special place in my heart. I appreciate the fact that you can choose from a variety of cookie flavors and... sizes, including ordinary and jumbo-sized treats. Always bring my cousin here, and we both have the cookiewich every time wecome. Nevertheless, the previous time he chose a chocolate chunk cookie, a double chocolate chunk cookie, and cookie dough icecream, while I chose their premium cookies, which are much larger and more imaginative, such as smore, Reece's peanut buttercup, and triple chocolate chip. Everything went quite well, and it is a good thing that we tried other items on their menu sinceotherwise we would not have discovered that the cookies on their menu other than what we typically have are really wonderful. Icouldn't have hoped for a better experience from this shop, and I would suggest them to anybody who is looking for a similarservice. I?ve been going to Insomnia in Lincoln Park for years and have never had any issues. I?d drive over an hour into the city just... to get insomnia. My experience at this location was the exact opposite. I understand there?s a pandemic currently andbusinesses have to adapt. I understand insomnia has to close their lobby by 10 pm. I prefer to give people and companies thebenefit of the doubt, but some things are inexcusable. I arrived at this location at 9:50 on the dot. There were already 6people in line inside, so I had to wait outside, as the door was locked. When a few customers recieved their order and headed tothe door to leave, an insomnia worker came to the door and told me they close at 10 and he cannot let me into the lobby. He saidI had to make a phone or web order. He said this to me at 9:52...there were still 8 minutes before 10. I obliged and made a weborder right there on the spot, and Insomnia?s site told me the order would be ready by 10:15. I waited by the door until 10:15and saw everyone who came after me recieve their order before me. There was a gentleman I spoke to outside at 10:20 who I toldto make an order online because the lobby was closed. He ordered 6 cookies, just like I did and he received his order at 10:35.I waited in line until 10:55 pm when the front door opened and the workers brought out about 10 boxes of orders for all thepeople waiting in line outside. The cookies were dry and hard, and it seemed like my order had been sitting there for at leasta half hour before they brought it out. Horrible wait time for a horrible batch of cookies.
