This restaurant is a proper restaurant experience. Hosted a team kick off dinner here and was not disappointed- our server was... incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. When asked for his opinion he gave unbiased perspectives. The foodwas outstanding and left nothing to be desired. I would recommend the Chicken Parmesan. The lighting was a bit dim, but itcertainly matched the charm of the environment. Read more

Absolutely our favorite restaurant when we are here for business every six months! The mozzarella is SO yummy. I haven’t met... a dish on the menu I didn’t love, especially the steaks. We love our waiter, Steve, who we request every time we are here. Hewill tell you all about the history of the building, which is always a fun addition to a nostalgic night. Read more

We dined at Harry Carey’s on August 11. We sat at the bar so we could watch the Field of Dreams baseball game. Interestingly... enough, I had been inside Harry Carey’s the day before as I had taken the Chicago Gangster Crime tour and this restaurant (andthe basement safe/hidden passageway) was on the tour as a stop. Firstly, there is a ton of history in this building. Loadedwith great photos and news clippings. I could have spent two hours just looking at all that stuff alone. So over to dinner. We were greeted immediately at the bar by our bartender. Ordered our drinks and delivered within minutes. We were then handeda basket of homemade fresh cut potatoe chips lightly salted by which we devoured. So yummy. We shared a 14 oz strip loinsteak, a wedge salad and grilled asparagus - served with complimentary buns and butter. Salad was fresh light and crisp withdelicious dressing. The steak served perfectly (medium) and hot, as were the asparagus. We were too full for dessert so wetook a tiramisu to go - eaten by my hubby who said it was the best he’s ever had with a slight hint of booze (notoverpowering). I would highly recommend. If it wasn’t for the Gangster Crime Tour I would not have even considered thisrestaurant (I had checked out the menu the day before and all the servers were super friendly and welcoming). I believe theyhave a large private space upstairs too for large groups as both days there were large events. Also, all servers are maleprofessionals who clearly take their roles seriously and work incredibly well as a team. Different people brought the food, thebuns and cleaned up promptly. The level of professionalism was impressive. Again - these gents take great pride in what they doand do it very well. Read more

The steak was delicious. Prices were a bit high for what you got. The server was great and helpful, but did get distracted with... a large group for half the service. Good food and a nice spot to visit for the history. Read more

I had the opportunity to eat here while on a trip. Everything was amazing. The history and atmosphere were great to learn. The... menu is vast with a great range of appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, and steak. With it being a steak house I had to try theKansas City Cut. Which I had never heard of before. It was a great cut. The steak was cooked to perfection medium rare. Onedownside is the sides were not included, but I was able to try the Brussel sprouts and mashed potato which were amazing. I wouldsay it is a great place, lots of history, if you have a chance it is worth it. Read more
