What a local gem in Bridgeport neighborhood! DELICIOUS, charming, and cozy restaurant. I ordered to go. The Gyro Platter and... chicken soup were so good- great flavor, carefully prepared, and friendly service, generous portion, reasonable price. So gladit?s close to me and I can pop in for quick lunch. Next time, I want to try the desserts and other sides. Going to bring myfriends to try here too! Read more
I would eat here everyday if I could. Mike ( the owner ) is the greatest host of all time. You?ll instantly feel like an... extension to his family once you?re here. That?s the real experience!! The staff is extremely friendly and everyone is very wellmannered. Almost a whole paragraph in and I still haven?t mentioned the best part of this place. The foood !!! Wow!! It?s safeto say the staff already knows me on a first name basis. There?s no need for a menu at this point since I?ve ordered damn neareverything on it. Hidden gem. I pass it all the time without realizing it. Loved the Calamari!!!! Get it! There's only a few places that make it... right, and this place nails it! Gyro platter was delicious. I'd been wanting to try this place and finally had the opportunity to on Sunday. It was delicious! Everything was perfectly... seasoned, no need for salt, and so flavorful. I had a gyro with rice and the spinach pie. Both were tasty and the gyro was fullof meat. My sister ordered potatoes and soup, which were also both delicious. I will definitely come here again. Went opening night a fee weeks ago and it was fantastic.Friendly staff and the food was beyond delicious.We ordered the Maximus... that feeds 5-6 it had 3 pork chops 3 ribeyes potatoes rice salad and pita bread.We loved everything.We also ordered the saganakiand the baklava.A new favorite.Definitely check this place out. I visited 07/01/21-one day after the grand opening. I went around 3:00pm to avoid a possible lunch rush or dinner rush. My... server was Elizabeth and my order was take-out. 1) The usual hiccups that new restaurants may encounter were not experiencedhere. My server/cashier was very friendly-double and triple checking my order/requests. The wait time was not long. The pricesof the menu items are not bad and the portions are great as well. As the place is new, I ordered 4 things to get an overall feelfor the restaurant-soup, appetizer, main, and dessert. I did not even consume 1/2 of what I ordered. So, plenty of leftovers.There is street parking. However, if you are on public transportation, the east bound #35 bus stops right in front of therestaurant. 2) Avgolemono: I usually buy the " It's Greek to Me" canned soup. On the can it says " Just like Yia Yia made".G.P.'s soup definitely tasted closer to what a grandmother would make. 3) Mike's Famous Gyrolls: A nice Greek take on atraditional Asian eggroll. I was actually surprised when I received the order. I wondered why such a big container was used for3 egg rolls. Effort was actually put into the presentation of this appetizer. The dipping sauce was very fresh. 4) Pork bowl:The Pork was very tender and the rice very fluffy. Very flavorful. 5) Boutgatsa: I chose to not have my server heat up thepastry as I knew I would not be consuming it right away. A really nice dessert. It is baseball season.
