I took these lollipop wings to go and it was as advertised. These are some great wings. There is a sweet spicy chili sauce... thats coating the crunchy coated wings. And it comes with white rice!! A definite treat and worth the visit to get thesespecialty wings. Read more

Probably my last time ordering from Great Seas. The lollipop chicken i ordered last night was really tough to eat. I noticed the... wings were not fresh. It was chewy and had a taste of old fried chicken. Paying close to 40 bucks for fried rice and wings, should have been fresh. The quality has gone down drastically. I've been going to great seas since the mid 80s when it wasowned by friends of the family. Was soooo good back in the days. Wings were made to order. Not any more! I understand thepopularity this place has gained the last decade or so but no excuse to serve wings that were fried earlier in the day. So damndry! The sauce can't cover up the quality of the chicken. The sauce is very different too. Used to have whole chili peppers inthe mix. It's too bad that they serve you old wings in mediocre sauce. Can't even recommend buying their sauce to make your own.Buyer beware! Read more

This place has some of my favorite chicken wings in Chicago. The chicken lollipops are very addicting! The food quality is... good, and the staff is generally friendly. My only complaint is the interior is outdated. Read more

The quality of the wings has gone down immensely. They're fatty and tough now. Very hard to chew. I got through eating four or... five of them in my order before giving up and just eating the rice with the sauce on top. Keep in mind that I'm a returningcustomer over the past decade. After the new owners, they seemed to maintain their level of quality, but only for a while. Ifyou're a lover of wings in Chicago, this was a destination spot. But recently, the jacked up prices combined with the wild dropin quality of the chicken too has taken Great Seas from a must-have to a probably pass. Read more

The food is amazing!! I have been looking for wings like these ever since Take Me Out in Pilsen closed. The wings are juicy and... the skin crispy. The rice is also very good. My only regret is not buying a bottle of their sauce. Read more

Got takeout lunch specials (orange chicken and sweet & sour pork) the other day. Friendly service. Good portions and sauce, but... the chicken was dry and the pork was very tough. Significantly more expensive than other local Chinese places, which havehigher-quality food. Probably won't go back. Read more

I know times have changed and supply is limited, but ever since the new owners took over, the food has not been the same. As... everyone knows they are popular for their lollipop wings. It's definitely a must try for first timers, but being a frequentcustomer of maybe 10 to 15 years--the quality and quantity has declined which does not match the heavy increase in price. TheirMongolian beef used to have this spectacular crispness and flavor to the dish that you couldn't find anywhere else, but now it'squite soggy and bland. The wings do not taste as fresh, but dry and fried multiple times. The sauce is definitely something tobuy by the bottle, delicious. The black sauce noodle dish came pretty watered down the last few times we ordered, which iscompletely different from the past. I just miss the old great seas... Read more

Last night we picked up an order from Great Sea Restaurant and it was really good! Lollipop Chicken: 5/5 - these were AMAZING.... We got a half tray since we had a good amount of people to feed. They were still warm after the 20 minute drive! Mongolian Beef:3/5 - this wasn’t horrible, but it was very salty. The noodles on the inside were also soggy, however, that is probably due topickup. Sweet and spicy shrimp: 4/5 - honestly, this probably would be a 5/5 if it was fresh and the shrimps coat wasn’t soggyby the time we got home. However, was still really good. All of this food costed around $95, which wasn’t horrible. Thepickup service was alright, will definitely come again! Read more
