The hostess was so rude! She would not seat us by the window. No one came for that table the entire time we dined. Please keep... in mind that Deep Dish takes 45 minutes to bake. Unacceptable!!! The decor is kinda hideous. The only thing I really liked werethe Blues Brothers statues on the bar. See pictures. It doesn't have a classy vibe like Lou Malnati's does. Gino's East has anelegant grunge vibe. Pequod's is an absolute dump! The food was okay. The pizza sauce is bitter and the crust is not buttery.The very best part of this dining experience was our server. He was friendly, funny, and efficient. We tipped him well! The pizza was 5 star! We got the main Chicago style deep dish. Extremely tasty and perhaps my favorite pizza I?ve ever had! We... also ordered various sides and they were great as well. Perhaps it was because we came on a Friday night but the service wasn?tparticularly great. It wasn?t bad, but not great. We were offered our check before the pizza came out. I think the server wasjust stressed out. It also seemed like a table that arrived and ordered after us got their food 15 min before us. Having workedfood service before I get that things happen! Not my best deep dish experience. Our server was slightly rude. The pizza took an hour to cook which was expected but he forgot... to put the order in. When the order was put in it was delivered to another table. I would still go back but maybe a differentlocation. Read more
Our out of town guest wanted Chicago's famous deep dish pizza and he said it was delicious!! He even took some back to NOLA and... said it tasted even better the next day!! It was all for him!!! The family also enjoyed the veggie pizza!!! The pepperoni pizzawas ok. We went in on a Sunday evening, it was a little busy, however our server was nice and she was accommodating!
