Hmm I love the fact they are black owned, friendly but bit unfocused when it comes to customers. They need to use better... utensils those pastic forks doesn't do the job due to them being cheap if you're going to go plastic do better with quality. Thefood was over seasoned but not that bad and the potatoes is way way too sweet. I've nevered had sweet potato salad. Overall I'lltry them again because i believe in supporting my own and if we can give other races a chances in out neighborhoods wedefinitely should do the same with our own. Read more

Flammin is Flammin!! I am a local restaurant owner and love their food. You can taste the goodness and love. My family craves it... often when we get off from our own place. This is a trustworthy place with owners who care and are approachable, so you don?thave to leave bad reviews and lower their ratings. Support your local businesses on 75th street and stop complaining about notbeing able to have anything in the neighborhood. Here it is! By the way the Kool-Aid hits the spot on a warm or cool day???? First visit and disappointed, however, I think the place may have potential. Service: The personnel was being trained while I... was there and I may have been the first dine in customer of the day. That said, that is still no excuse for not checking norinquiring on your patron. This should've definitely been a training opportunity for your new employee. Additionally, to mysurprise, my "dine in" order arrived to the table in take out containers. Re: the food The shrimp and grits were extremelycheesy and despite the shrimp being prepared and seasoned to perfection, cheese is just an additive among many others that makeup the entree The French Toast was rather tasty and this was without powder sugar nor syrup. Portion size: small for purchaseprice Recommendations needed for establishment: remember all guest aren't created equal therefore provide sugar-free condimentoptions for patrons In Conclusion: upon finally obtaining the attention of someone (the man in establishment paraphernalia thathappened to come through the door because no one else could hear me over the LOUD music nor my hand waving) and requestingsomeone attend my table. I explained the grits were too cheesy and I couldn't eat then and I only ate my shrimp and wanted thecheck. Generally at this point, the message of disappointment is conveyed and a manager comes over and I get an opportunity toshare my concerns and tell them no thank you on the discount but share recommendations and pay my tab. However, I was notafforded this opportunity while in the establishment. As a true proponent for black owned businesses, I took the time to writethis review in the most non bias way possible. I have great hope and expectations for this small, cozy restaurant. I'm excited to see this place located on the south side. We... pretty much completed everything on our plate. The service was not as attentive as I liked, but I think the longer they are inbusiness the better they will become in this area. Definitely support this establishment...I had a breakfast bowl with turkeysausage and my sister has the salmon croquettes with rice and French toast. Very nice presentation as you can see and reallygood flavors. I definitely plan on going back! Read more
