So I'll start off they saying their margaritas are great! And that's about it. The chicken was quite dry, I couldn't even finish... my burrito. Not only that, I've been here twice, and each time the young woman with glasses at the register always has anunpleasant attitude. Read more
They have good tacos. Nothing to complain about. Nothing to write home about... I would get food here all the time if I lived... closer, but there are 20 other places with tacos just as good in between us. Read more
Update - Been here so many times now. Food is always great. But it annoys me that the staff is never friendly. They are so... serious, pushing the limits of being rude. Its like they?ve been told not to smile at customers. A friendly person at theregister, and a small smile goes a long way. Changing my review to 4 star. Ive eaten from here multiple times. Ive had tamalesand tacos - all very good. The best thing though is the chips and guacamole. The horchata is tasty as well. Read more
Second time eating from here. First time dined in and the rice bowl was tasty except for the hard clumpy burnt rice that I... assumed was scraped from the bottom of the pot. Ordered street corn tacos and burritos tonite. Tacos were tasty.. oily but hadsome flavor. However their lime grilled steak burritos were just Nasty. First of all, the steak is not grilled. Its like aboiled in lime and fat flavored meat that looked more like boiled ground beef bits than steak. Hubby, the burrito lovercouldn?t finish his. He was done after he hit the gristle (pic) and his poorly wrapped burrito collapsed on his plate. It reallywas just a greasy tasteless mess. A poor excuse for a burrito. We ordered sides of beans but instead got refried bean soup/dip. It was tasty though, as beans go. Everyone is cutting corners today, but serving up such poor quality meat loaded with fatand gristle as steak is not acceptable. Im reviewing tonite because 1. I expect if I buy grilled steak, I get steak that wascooked on a grill. 2. If I buy a side of beans, that does not say ?refried? that I get beans and not refried bean soup. 3. Andmost importantly because i ate the rest of the hubby?s abandoned burrito and now we both feel sick from the fat/ grease from themeat, and I have a whole burrito left in the fridge that we are both avoiding, but can?t return for a refund. This was my third time here and for a quick fast casual mexican restaurant style, I really enjoyed it. The highlights for me... were the tamales and really strong margaritas, and not to mention a happy hour. The wait can be long if it's busy. The portionsare fair and the food is tasty.
