This used to be my parents and I?s favorite dessert spot that we would go to when I was a kid. I moved out of the city several... years ago for college but returned this week for a trip. I've loved First Slice Cafe from the moment they moved into the neighborhood back in 2011 (at least I think it was 2011). Good... food, GREAT pie (the French Silk and Chocolate Peanut Butter pies are especially delicious), friendly staff, andcommunity-oriented, First Slice is fantastic. I drive past here on my way to work so I decided to try it out. I went in the morning. The place is an old house beautifully... turned into First Slice. I really wanted to try their pizza. Sadly I arrived before they started. I ended up trying a Bacon andsweet onion quiche. I got a slice with a side of salad greens. It was reasonably priced. The quiche was so good that I wentback and I got a full pie. They don?t just have pizzas and quiche. They also have custom and unique pies that chance. I can?twait to come back and try their pizza and see what surprising pie they come up with next. Read more
Loved this place!! So many goodlooking choices on the menu that I had a very hard time making up my mind!!! The broccoli and... cheese quiche was delectable!! And don't even get me started on the French silk pie!!!! HAVE to go back to try the strawberryrhubarb, or the key lime, or maybe the blueberry cheesecake....too many choices!!!! Always near and always come for coffee but finally tried some of their Thanksgiving eats... Chicken pot pie and pecan pie were... divine! Pecan Pie was one of the best I've had! Read more
