Good food but significantly over priced. Was charged $19 for a 3oz piece of burrata with 3 small pieces of bread. The typical... pasta dish is $24. The saving grace is the wonderful patio in the back, but it's too cold for that from Nov to March. Not muchof an interior. Read more

Enoteca Roma was a religious experience, rivaling the rituals of even the most ancient shaman and brahman... mystics. Unequivocally. In other words go to the patio, get a bunch of stuff. Of special note was the ravioli. The raviolihad me feeling as if I had stumbled into a fairy world, full of dancing nymphs and cherub princes, all under a waxing moon. Read more

Back on another Wine & Pasta Wednesday here at Enoteca Roma. This cute little Italian spot off Division has a lot more than... meets the eye. The dining room may look small but the business also owns the bakery next door for more delicious to-go treatsand sandwiches. In addition to that, the two share a large, secluded back patio which is where we chose to dine. To start wewent with the antipasto platter which, split between 4 was a great start and allowed you to experience quite a few differentflavors. This being Chicago, I was a big fan of their house made giardinera and the olive tapenade went well with nearlyeverything. From there we ventured to the venison polenta. There were a few guest with us who had never had the pleasure of afresh polenta experience and they were all raving about it. Myself included. And experience wise (if you’re with a date ????)fresh plating right in front of your eyes always adds to the experience ????????. We narrowed it down to 3 entrees. The Gnocchiwith pork shoulder, the ravioli and the Pollo Limone. All three stood out in their own way. The gnocchi was light but the porkshoulder added a delicious savoriness to it. One of my favorites of the night. The ravioli was rich but not overbearing. Withthe ricotta, and walnut this wasn’t far off from a desert. The pollo limone, recommended by our wonderful waiter Hector, waswell cooked, not overly lemony, and with the spinach/mushrooms & potato’s was a nice contrast to the rest of the meal????????. For desert we opted for a few scoops of the pistachio gelato. This might have been our favorite of the night. We’renot desert people but this tasted like the perfect pistachio infusion of a lucky charms marshmallow. We were blown away. All inall, a lovely neighborhood eatery with a welcoming staff and beautiful patio to escape the hustle and bustle of Division. Iwould highly recommend!! Read more

Delicious homemade pasta. The orecchiette with shrimp and chili fake was my favorite plate of pasta I've ever had. Gnocchi was... little pillows of heaven. Also, the mix and match bruschetta flight is a perfect appetizer. This will be our go to Italian placefrom now on. Read more
