Although an ambitious location, great decor and good view, the deceptively small size and horrendous customer service make this... rooftop bar fall below expectations. Wait staff don't seem to communicate with each other, lost our order and is molasses-slow. Read more

I came here for dinner with my sister back in April 2013 and the experience totally exceeded my expectations. The food was... wonderfully prepared. Our waiter was thoughtful and attentive - yet gave us enough space to catch up. He expertly helped us pickout a wine and at the end of the meal, kindly offered to laminate the wine bottle label for us to take home. This would be awonderful place to have a dinner for whatever special occasion you may want to celebrate. Read more

Date of Visit: 5/26/2013 LOCATION As indicated by its name there are two sides: sit-down restaurant and bar. We dined at the... restaurant for a late dinner. There are two options if driving: valet parking or self-park. Valet parking is perhaps the easiestand one can drive in as if one was going to the Ritz Hotel. Self park at a location outside the building and then walk to theRitz. When walking into the restaurant it feels as if you are walking into a well decorated ballroom. As you walk in, you can'tmiss a water fountain followed by the bar area. To the right you will notice the sit down restaurant side. SERVICE The serveusewas very cordial and prompt to sit us and call us by the name we provided in our reservation (reservations are handled viaOpenTable). The dinner menu can be a bit confusing and everything is à la carte; however, we were very lucky to have anexcellent serveur who took a bit of time to explain. They recently opened up the patiodeck bar and it is surely going to be abig hit with guests. Our serveur took us to see it since we inquired...if you are not visiting the bar, I would highly recommenda tour of the deck specially by night. If you are pressed for time, I wouldn't recommend the sit-down restaurant fordinner. FOOD The food was very tasty and one gets a nice amount of food for the amount paid. Steak and tortellini were our maindishes and were very satisfied with the food. I highly recommend pairing your food with a glass of wine (they have an extensiveselection based on age, location, or type). The steak is served with fries (very odd for a french-cuisine restaurant) but theyare very tasty. PRICE The price of the food is reasonably for the quality and amount of food; however, in my case this wouldn'tbe considered a casual restaurant I would go for lunch or dinner whenever I feel. For two with winecocktail, appetizer and nodessert it ran for about $120. Prices are clearly identified in their online menus. Overall this is a place Read more

deca is GREAT! My mom lives right next door to this place so i'm always walking over there to grab a cocktail with her. They are... so nice and have amazing cocktails (try the Pear Necessity) plus awesome food. Even if you're a local, you're bound to feel likeyou're on vacation here! Read more

Brunch at Deca was excellent because of the sushi bar and meat offerings. The decor was outstanding and service was A+.

A solid French Bistrot-style restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, serving all of the classic cuisine. The crowd definitely... tends to be more mature, but they reward their loyal patrons by continuing to keep private cellars for them (even though thisisn't a common practice anymore). However, you can still get the royal treatment if you visit Sunday - Thursday to takeadvantage of half-price bottles of wine from the Reserve list! The planned opening of Deca's open-air rooftop lounge is nowslightly delayed, but no doubt still in time for the coming summer nights. Read more

I am reluctant to review this place, it has been my secret escape spot for years. I love coming here in the afternoons, sitting... by the window with a view, reading a book and sipping a cocktail (they are delicious here!). It is quiet, almost tranquil,spa-like. Oversized plush arm chairs, flawless service, gorgeous space. Oysters and cocktails, what else does one need? I havebeen using Deca as a secret hideaway for years. Read more

Our waiter didn't give us decaf coffee after dinner. He lied to us and said it was decaf. We were up most of the night. The... fish I had for dinner wasn't to good either. However breakfast was excellent. Very expensive but excellent. Read more
