I?ve been going to Debonair for nearly 9years?so it?s in the rotation of places I like to go especially if I find myself in the... area. I generally do not like places with covers, mainly because I spend so much on booze while I?m there, that I think a coveris bs?BUT I do (really) LIKE going to Debonair so when I have to I will pay it. :) Overall, this place holds a special andweird place in my heart because I don?t know how to classify it?is it an edm club? Is it an ultra lounge? Is it a diveybar/club? Is it a dance club? Is it a live music venue? Is it a rock club? Is a disco bodega? Is it sometimes the spot withcrazy interesting events? I think Debonair can be one or all of them in one night?and that is f?ing fantastic?I love adventuresand Debonair always seems to serve them up to me each time I am there. I?ve met amazing and cool people, listened to greatmusic, danced like hell, and just generally had great times at Debonair. The bar staff always are great and very approachableand awesome. To me, debonair has been one of the most welcoming and inviting spots for all people since some of the greatpeople I?ve met here are quite eccentric. I guess what I am saying, is I am forever grateful for my buddy who brought me hereon the first night I went out after moving to Chicago, and I am glad they are still here after the pandemic. My friends and I were being chill and respectful. My friend ordered a drink and this girl working tonight looked so off. She... stared at her, looked down and then walked away. We saw her pour vodka into her water bottle too. She was stumbling and droppingcups. All of the bartenders were so rude and cranky. I get they gotta deal with drunk people all night but we were beingrespectful. The bouncers are hella rude all the time. I went out with 3 other friends to Chicago on a birthday trip we stumbled upon Debonair. We got our first drink and everything... was great, cover fee was not expensive like another place we tried. We began dancing and having a good time. The music was goodand we loved the two floors set-up. Things went side ways when the Caucasian male bartender serving downstairs began to harassme trying to kiss me and even put his hands on me. I had even gave him a $20 for a drink and he did not make it then began totell me he was not giving me my money back even though he had not made me a drink. Probably the best place I've been to while out on the town! They've got a good DJ on the main level, gray drinks (from what I've... tasted) and the staff seems to be great!!! Keep up the fun atmosphere!!! You guys rock! Read more
Prices are okay. Paid a door fee to get in and they said we could go to the "private party" down stairs. Have to pay another fee... to go stairs with bracelet. Literally just 2 door fees....sly trick, won't be back. Read more
Great place to go dancing if you?re looking for a fun friendly crowd, the top 40 playlist of your dreams (1999-2021 hip hop rap... pop), and simple drinks with a good ratio. Admittedly nothing particularly posh about it, but the lighting's right and honestlyit's less about the aesthetic and more about having a rowdy good time. I was hosting a bachelorette party of 20 people, andSteve set us up with a roped off area and some bottles, and it was an absolute highlight of the weekend. I absolutely love this place. It was my daughter's birthday and she really enjoyed herself. Really chill crowd, awesome drinks,... awesome bartenders, and awesome DJ. The security was also wonderful and professional. Perfect place to party and dance the nightaway.I will return for another great time thank you so much Club Debonair. Read more
They have good music but their security team is rude. Cover is also unpredictable, sometimes free sometimes $20. I used to... tolerate it but they're not worth the hassle Read more
