The food was good, but the service was terrible. It took about 30 minutes before our server (Juliana) came and asked what we... wanted to start off with. I would understand if it was busy, but it wasn’t busy at all. She kept doing her own thing andstaying in the kitchen and would give us attitude when ever we asked for anything. We paid way too much for a meal even thoughhalf of the items for the meal were not in stock. When we finished our meal we waited about 40 minutes for us to get the check.Another server had to help us and made sure we were okay during our whole stay. It was my first time trying this restaurant andit wasn’t a good first time. I would like to give this place a second try not because of the food but because I’d expect aplace that nice would have amazing service. P.S kisses to the chef cause that food was amazing. Read more

Peruvian food in Chicago doesn’t get better than this! Being Peruvian and always looking for great authentic food is tough to... find on the south side, so I always have to head north for my fix! D’Candela is my go to anytime I’m in the area. The foodis always extremely good no matter what I’ve tried. The dishes here do not disappoint. I was also happy to find them beingopen on Memorial Day. Delicious food! We had the causa which was awesome, but the chicken was fantastic. It’s also BYOB which is nice
