Got breakfast, came in early as soon as they opened, so at that time it is clean :) healthy choices available thou quite big in... size. I wish they would just offer a plain 2 fried eggs, seems like nobody does that anymore, it has to be with some fancyshmancy name and cost a fortune. I got a large truffle hot chocolate as a dessert after lunch next door. The space and indoor seatings provide a nice atmosphere... (could be warmer). Service was friendly and supportive: I came in right before closing without knowing and they are very kind tolet me order, even offer me more whipped cream when they saw me like it so much, and stay a bit for my drinks. very bad experience here at corner bakery. firstly, me and my partner decided to get one sandwich and share it. the sandwich... itself was $10, decent price. However the small drink cups were over $3 each, resulting in a total of over $17 dollars. I wasshocked. Not only that but the sandwich itself was soggy and cold. The soda was flat and colorless. I politely asked the managerto change it and she did, but there was no difference. flat as water. not only that, but I noticed a coffee stained signpermitting any refills. I ended up taking everything off and eating basil and bread. must admit, bread was great. but bread andflat soda was not worth $17 ???? Read more
I was a Corner Bakery in July 9 and 10 and this was a Perfect place to go with your family and friends, perfect food, tasty... sandwiches, I enjoyed the chicken pesto, amazing, delicious flavor. The place looks claasic, elegant and prices were perfect forall the things I ordered, the Chicken Pesto Sandwich was too big for me. The pancakes and the bacon were amazing, perfectlydone. Definitely a place to visit again and again when I return to Chicago someday. Read more
