Very good Bahn Mi. This place is totally unassuming and frankly a little random from a street view perspective but do not let... that deter you. Living around the corner I?ve been curious about it for a while and after finally talking to someone who hasbeen decided to order some food and am thrilled I did. The bread and veggies were incredibly fresh and the lemon grass pork waswell seasoned and prepared. The bread was soft and were balanced with the fresh crunch of the veggies. My only real feedback isthat it did eat a bit dry and could?ve maybe used a little more slaw, acid or sauce to further balance the ratio of bread, butthe bread?s quality was such that it?s merely a suggestion as everything tasted great , plain and simple. What further drivesthis home is the price point because it is an incredibly generous sandwich for $7.95 so honestly throw any critique out becauseit provides an incredible bang for your buck, and today more than ever, that really means something. I will be back soon and amexcited to work my way through the rest of the menu! Read more

So, I do love this hole in the wall Vietnamese joint. But please add more protein to your sandwiches. Over the past couple of... months they?ve started to be mostly bread. Thank you!! Read more

I used to come here often, pre-pandemic this place was great for their Pho specifically. But I just tried this place again today... (I ordered B1 Pork Bowl) and it?s really gone down hill. I wish I took a picture of it but the pork was so nasty, obviouslypre-made by a few days and it?s like they combined noodles, bean sprouts and lettuce in one dish that they then microwaved for 2minutes and gave to me. Some ingredients were hot, some cold, some disgustingly lukewarm?yuck. Hot lettuce and old pork issomething I will now never forget the taste of!!! I got a refund but the manager wasn?t happy about it, telling me if I ordersomething and I don?t like it then too bad basically. Sorry no! Eating out isn?t a daily occurrence anymore with inflation, I?mnot spending $12 on a gross dish that makes me want to puke because it was made bad. I had them keep the tip & obviously thesoda I bought, not sure why they had to try and shame me about wanting a refund for the main dish. If your food is gross? it?sgross! Ain?t my fault. Not going back. Read more

Ordered takeout based on the great reviews. The pho broth was flavorful, and that?s the best I can say about it. The beef combo... pho noodles had the worst looking meat I?ve ever seen. Tried one piece of the ?brisket? and it was rubbery and mostly fattygristle. Didn?t risk trying the ?meatball? which was literally half of one meatball cut into 4 pieces. Bad meat, small portion, would not recommend. Read more

Egg rolls were kinda small. Crab raccoons were decent in flavor but mostly crust. The banh mi sandwich was great in size and... flavor. Little more protein would be nice. The brisket pho was enough for two people and great flavor. Little more green onionsand maybe order extra sauce. Read more

This is hands down my favorite sandwich in Chicago. I used to live near Coco but now I will still drive 20 minutes to pick some... up because it?s amazing. I normally get the tofu ban mi and tofu spring rolls. Most of the time, even get two ban mi sandwiches: one for now, one for later. Their noodles are also great and the people who own it are always incredibly sweet and nice. Idrop a tip even if I?m just carrying out because they?re so nice and the food is amazing. I love this place! Read more
