Omg, this place was awesome for our first time!! If you want really good sushi, you should definitely come to Circle Sushi &... Grill located on the Old Town neighborhood a block away from North Ave. and Halsted St. We were looking for something new andexotic to try and at the same time we were craving for some sushi. While driving on the north side of this beautiful city wecame across a true hidden gem! We decided to come in and the place was just opening, turns out it opens at 4pm in a Monday. So,we had the whole place for ourselves. The menu had so many good options we deiced to order some appetizers first, we startedwith Edamame and Chicken Karaage but for the main dish even though every single sushi option available on the menu was fantasticI ordered the Red Dragon, its made with spicy shrimp, cucumber topper with avocado and red tobiko. Once it arrived I was blownaway. The presentation of the sushi is immaculate and delightful, the flavors of the roll combine so well with a spicy kick withevery bite they are made fresh and skillfully right in front of us, if you love sushi this is one place you have to come andtry. Hamachi jalopeño was really delicious. Tempura was light and yummy and the sushi was great. Coming back for sure
Usually we order take out for this and it’s always great. We tried dining in for the first time, the food was great, the... presentation was great, the service was good, only complaint is that they didn’t have air conditioning, it was 93 out and itwas super warm inside. Inconsiderate employees who don't value customers' time and business at all. I used to be a regular customer, but no more. ... Because of the general unreliability with restaurants these days, I call ahead to verify hours before going anywhere. Lastnight, I called Circle Sushi at 23:00 and asked if they were open. The woman on the phone said they were open for dine-in until01:00 (still 2 hours until they close). I walked 8 blocks in the pouring rain and arrived at midnight. They were not onlyclosed, but it looked like they had been closed for a long time as not a single light was on, and nobody was leaving (so it'snot like they just started closing an hour early--they probably closed a few minutes after the woman said they were open foranother 2 hours, because I was there not even an hour later and they were already closed). After years of giving you steadybusiness, I get rewarded like this. Thanks, but no, thanks. I will take my business to the hundreds of other restaurants inthe area who actually care about customers.
