Such a great find in the West Loop! Cozy and very European place with great jazz music!

One of the best-kept secrets in Chicago. Great atmosphere if you are looking for a quiet or romantic place for a conversation,... and the live music on weekend nights was always a pleasant surprise. The wine list was interesting, and the food was also tasty-- particularly the bacon-wrapped dates. Hope this place survives the pandemic! Read more

Delicious food in a cute and intimate setting. Service staff was also very friendly and professional. Loved the live music too!

Ciao is a great place to sit, have a relaxing glass of wine and some appetizers, and listen to some jazz. The night we attended,... they were hosting an open mic jazz night and we watched a number of very talented performers sing jazz standards very well. Ourserver was both kind and attentive. The space itself was small and cozy, and that only felt cozier as the rain began to falloutside. Read more

Great little wine bar with live music after 9 on Fridays. Enjoyed the appetizers and pasta. Service is very good, but very... relaxed, and there is typically only one server. So if you're a high maintenance diner who requires constant attention, or arein a hurry, I'd recommend trying a different spot for dinner. Read more

Really cool spot that transforms you into another world outside of the city! The ambience makes you feel as if you are in a... romantic restaurant that was entirely reserved as a private dining experience. Great fate night spot for the west loop or to getaway from the typical bars/restaurants. Definitely recommend for both small bites and the avid wine selection! Read more

It's small. It's quaint. I like to go by myself sometimes. The macaroni and cheese is surprisingly delicious. Wine selection is... decent. There are board games available as well so it can be a nice date night if done properly. There is a patio in thesummertime as well. The first time I went, there was live music. Read more

Came here for a first date and I could not have been more satisfied with the evening. The atmosphere was perfect; we got lucky... and had the whole place to ourselves for the first hour before someone else came in. Julie, the owner, personally served us andshe was warm, friendly, and inventing. My date and I both had the house special, which tasted delicious. The chemistry with mydate was a perfect 10 but only because the restaurant was a 12. I recommended Cafe Ciao to anyone looking for great food and aequally great time. Read more
