Burger is like any other dive burger place. Tastes like thin frozen patties. Steak fries were done well enough, but I don't like... steak fries. That's all i tried. Not sure why this place is rated so highly. People must like cheap food. If you're fine withthis type of quality, then it's probably a fine place. Parking is a little bit of a hassle due to the organization of the littleparking lot, though many places don't even have parking. I probably won't be back, because of all the options. Read more
The guy who took our order was friendly. Service was pretty quick. I think we waited less than 15 min for our food. I had a 20... min ride home and by the time I got home the food was still a good temp. My son and I got the Choppak. It was a decent size andI was prepared to be wowed. Unfortunately, I wasn't. The burger tasted like any other double cheeseburger from a hood spot. Ifyou're familiar with the westside I'd compare it to a Star Gyro burger. I'm not a big fan of steak fries but they were ok. TheLettuce on my burger looked a little old. I couldn't tell if it was from sitting on the burger while driving home or if it wasold to begin with. The burger came with a cole slaw.. it was not good at all. My son and I both hated it. I also got onionrings. They were probably the best part of my meal. My son said the burger was good but also nothing special. My daughter gotthe Chicago dog. She liked it. We also got Strawberry and Oreo shakes. The Oreo shake was really good! The Strawberry was good.I'd go back for the Oreo shake and onion rings. I'd like to try the Italian beef I've seen mentioned in a few reviews. Pricingwasn't too bad without the shakes.. So I did a thing. I'm not a burger person, but someone recommended this place. I ordered a quad burger with everything, fries &... oreo shake. It was a 20 minute ride to get home so I was nervous about what condition my fries were in. Once home, the fry boxwas soft so I started to panic. I absolutely hate cold, soggy fries! To my surprise, the fries were still very warm and tasty.I'm not a fan of steak cut fries but I almost ate the entire box lol. Now to my burger. It was intimidating to look at, and ofcourse I shared a little piece lol, but it was soooo good! The flavor was there, it was cooked ???? I was literally almost inheaven until I realized they forgot my bacon. I know...I know who needs bacon on a quad burger with everything and my answer isjudge yourself because I do! ???? To be honest the bacon is the ONLY reason I gave a 4. The guy who took my order was very niceand suggested the medium oreo shake instead of a large because he knows I want to be ready for summer. What can I say. This is one of my hidden gems when I was growing up and still is now. Let?s start with the flame broiled... burgers. Very solid burger and did I mention they have a quad burger that is not for the weak. Let?s move on to the shakes.Flawless flavors and a great variety. Simply put, the quad burger was the best tasting burger with the most value I've ever had. For $7, this burger will fill you up... by the time you're halfway through. Next time I have a craving for beef, I'm driving to Chicago to get another one. Read more
The nostalgia is real here. If you grew up in the early to mid 2000s, the capsule, candy, sticker, and claw machines they have... will take you back in time. The food is super affordable - the burgers are HUGE, don?t underestimate them for the price. Thecheese fries were exactly the orange cheesy goodness you want. We wanted to try the shakes, but were too full, so we plan ongoing back just for those sometime. Highly recommend for an affordable night out :) Read more
We have driven past here on sooo many occasions we finally decided to stop in and try their burgers. My boyfriend ordered a... triple cheeseburger with fries and I decided to indulge in a double cheeseburger with cheese fries. We also sprang for amilkshake. So we took advantage of the fact that you can mix and match flavors so we went with a strawberry and apple piecombination and folks let me tell you this was probably the absolute best milkshake we have ever had. Hands down one of the bestburger joints in Chicago, it?s a beautifully themed diner so it looks like it?s from the 1950?s which was aestheticallypleasing. The woman who took our order was so kind and patient as it took us forever to decide what to even try. My onlycomplaint was the ranch, it was disgusting but the cheese for the fries was delicious so we dipped our burgers in it!
