This place is worth the wait. You almost feel transported when you first enter. Service is quick and efficient with no... frills. The food here is just spectacular. It does what it does very well. I really enjoyed the marinated beef and octopus. Ourtable ate it up so so quickly. The banchan here are also great too because you get a superb variety. As always, I will recommendthe Pajeon. This is a delicious seafood pancake that compares well to the others I have tried at different restaurants. Thiswill always be my first choice for Korean BBQ. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my experiences here and it will be the firstplace I recommend. Do yourself a favor and plan a trip for this fantastic gem in Chicago's Lincoln square area. Read more

Delicious! We tried their Japchae & Bibimbop dishes, and were delighted with over half a dozen Banchan (traditional... complimentary side dishes with your meal). Although it was very busy when we went, service was still attentive and great! Nexttime I go I'd like to try the BBQ, because I could see other patrons enjoying it and the portions certainly looked large -- ourmeals had very generous portions too, by the way. Read more
Had a fantastic time eating here but I feel like this place needs to come with an instruction manual for first-timers: Doesn?t... really function like a normal restaurant? interactions with the wait staff are so fast you might miss it! First, try to getinside the main doorway to tell the host the number of people and then just wait? they will get you when they?re ready. Youneed to know what you want to order before your waiter comes over and they aren?t very patient about questions. One of thetabletop meat cooking dishes is plenty of food for two people. For 3 people, maybe get one of those and a noodle dish. Weordered the BulGoGi meat entree and the JapChae noodles. Both were incredible!! The tabletop meat dishes come with an array ofsides. If they don?t automatically serve you the ?salad? to go with the meat, ask for it. You?ll see it on other peoples tablesand it?s so good!! I think the best way to enjoy the meal is to try the meat with each of the sides in differentcombinations?it?s amazing how different the same entree can taste when paired with different things. The food is SO GOOD. Thatbeing said, don?t take it personally if the staff is rude to you. I absolutely loved Cho Sun Ok- my expectations were exceeded completely. This is very authentic Korean food with delicious... meats, soups, and lovely side dishes. This was some of the best Korean food I've had since being in Korea, and I wouldrecommend it to everyone. Definitely try the bulgogi, the green onion pancakes, and any of their soups. The space is quitesmall so I'd get there early, especially on the weekends. Read more
Wanted to give 1 star to deter the big crowds but I?ve been coming here for years so clearly I love the food. Just some advice,... the service depends on how busy they are. When it?s busy don?t expect service with a smile. It?s the same ladies for decades sothey are arguably tired. But when it?s not too busy and you can speak Korean, they are actually very nice.
