Notice CPD eats here... always so you know it?s good stuff, and that the place is a local gem worth supporting. Went in with my husband originally to just get horchata. I've be been wanting a burrito and a few places have failed at flavor... so I decided to give them a try. First the girl at the register was very cold. We were trying to make conversation with herand be fun customers and she was not having it at all. Not personable at all not wanting to build any type of rapport. Didn'teven make eye contact. I asked her if they seasoned the chicken. She said yes. I watched as the cook was making the food. Hethrew a bunch of shredded pale chicken on the grill then He sprinkled something on it that I guess was supposed to be seasoning.I decided to cut it on half and taste it there before I left. Glad I did. The refried beans were super bland(Canned of course)chicken as suspected was flavorless. I was super disappointed. I took her the bag and said "I'm sorry babe this is not good."Without making eye contact with me and not apologetic in any way she simply stated "want to try another meat?" I just asked formy money back. She handed my money and that was it. Again no eye contact or apology. Definitely no authenticity here. I always come to this place to order . However the past 2 times i have received cold tacos.
Open 24/7 which is winning off the top! The food is a great option for late-night eats or anytime. They have a nice selection of... all day breakfast items as well. The quesadilla was not typical of what I thought it would look like. It's more like anextraordinary taco with lettuce tomatoes and cheese etc. Still very good! I will definitely return. Read more
I simply loved this place. The service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. We ordered a steak burrito and the... vegetarian tacos. The food didn?t disappoint. It was delicious. It wasn?t too salty as it is usually the case in restaurants.The salsas were a little too watery, so please Chavas make the salsa thicker. I had to come here after hearing about Chavas tacos on the radio station over and over! Highly highly recommended, super cute... spot and food was served nice and warm. I opted to ordering the nachos de asada and let me tell you, big portion, well presentedand delicious full of bursting flavors. My son opted for the tacos de lengua and I was a bit skeptical of his choice because alot of people don?t cook it well but boy was I wrong, taco was soft and juicy with a lot of flavor, the tacos de birria as wellvery tasty. Tacos were just meat and tortilla. Asked for 2 barbacoa and one chicken. The barbacoa was ok, I just think they were running out... of meat because they looked really sad. The chicken was plain white no much flavor. Beans were more water than beans and therice was pretty dry, maybe old. They made me mad because I feel I paid more than what it should be. Read more
