In Lakeview there a few good neighborhood Mexican restaurants and taco places. Cesar’s Killer Margaritas is definitely one of... them. I’ve been here twice in the last year, and I’ve enjoyed each of my visits. On my most resent trip, I tried someinteresting dishes that you should try if you go here. First, I started with a frozen blueberry margarita. Of course Cesar’sis famous for its huge margaritas and in a ton of different flavors. I typically get a raspberry margarita, but I enjoyed theblueberry one as it wasn’t too sweet. I then tried the torti pizza. It’s basically a tortilla with melted cheese andtoppings. I enjoyed it, it was kinda like an open faced quesadilla or Mexican style thin pizza. I don’t think I’ve seenanything like it at any other Mexican restaurant. I also enjoyed the carne asada and fish tacos I got. For dessert I gotchurros that came out hot and crispy. On my previous trip I tried their version of quesa-birria tacos. It was not atraditional quesa-birria as the meat was steak, but I enjoyed the treatment of the steak in melty cheese and crispy tacos. Onall of my visits, the service was fast and friendly and food came out quickly and hot. I also enjoyed the many TVs that theyhave around the restaurant and in the bar area. On my last visit I watched Monday Night Football. If you are a sports fan, their bar is good place to catch a game. In sum, this good neighborhood Mexican restaurant in Lakeview that needs to on yourlist. Read more

Loved the table salsa and chips - it was hard to save room for dinner! The margaritas are huge and decently priced - lots of... flavors to choose from. We tried the queso fundido for an app which was buttery and flavorful. For entrees we got the steakfajitas which we liked, I got the chicken tacos which were not my favorite. Great spot for family dinners - kid friendly! Read more

Cesars is known for their margaritas and so much more. We loved the dishes we tried, especially the quesa-barria. Not to... mention, the location itself is very spacious, including a full size bar and outdoor patio. The margaritas come in many options that you can even get frozen — perfect for the summer! Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Read more

Drinks are good. Food is basic like fajitas and small selection. You won’t find enchiladas, tampiqueña, mole or other... common Mexican dishes. All Salsas are mild. No waiting area. We had to wait in front entrance despite them having an emptybar and tables downstairs. And We were not allowed to wait by the upstairs bar despite the ample space. Read more

Stopped here for Saturday night dinner and had a great time. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The place gives of a... cool vibe. We were given chips and salsa to munch on while we decide on the menu. The salsa was so tasty, I could just keepeating the chips and salsa. We ordered the chicken and birria tacos . Each dish had 3 corn tortillas stuffed with Oaxaca cheeseand filled with a stewed beef or chicken and served with a 8oz cup of warm Consommé garnished with cilantro, onion and lime. The tacos were so mouthwatering delicious. Absolutely loved it. Also, ordered the large mango margarita and that was by far thebest margarita I have ever had. It deserves the name ‘killer margarita’ . You have to go to Cesar’s Chicago and have theircrazy good margarita!! Cheers!! Read more

Omg the staff were all so friendly! Anytime a Mexican restaurant brings out chips and salsa for free right away, I know it’s... going to be good. They also gave us free soup. The Birria tacos were delicious as well! Read more

We’ve had this location on our list for some time now. Glad we came here! Food is amazing! The quesobirria is next level I... couldn’t stop eating it! It’s very heavy though! Keep that in mind but it was so worth it. Margaritas are phenomenal andvery delicious. I liked the Chamoy one over the Lime but still was good! Price is questionable as it comes with a high price tagbut it’s nice for a dinner once in a while. Read more
