I used to go all the time to the one on Elston. Loved it. When i moved to the area i was happy that they have one here too.... Well. Unfortunately, the flavors and freshness are not the same. I had tacos few times, its ok but too salty,also one timechicken wasnt fresh. Nachos con carne was without meat and i saw that only when i got home.Besides. the chips werent fresh. Sonext time i specifically asked them to make me nachos with fresh chips. They didnt. If you dont have too many orders of chipsits not my fault. I still am paying and expecting to enjoy my food same as those who are lucky to be served fresh food. ThankGod. Mexican food is popular so if you dont want to keep a returning costumer, millions of other places will be happy to atleast try. Read more
Food is really good, kitchen is very clean, and they are open late. When I say this place is clean, its practically spotless and... after eating their food, my body still feels good which always a good sign. Read more
Disrespectful staff. Was ordering there for over 3 years. They screwed up my order and made it 20 min before my brothers. We... ordered at the same time. Didn't apologize or care when I told them they made a mistake. No respect for consistent long termcustomers. Apparently he event flipped me off. This place is junk food anyway never again. Literally even the chips and guac were the best things I?ve put in my mouth since idk when; the al pastor is to die for!... Everything was perfect, easy and quick pick up, ordered via DoorDash. Highly recommend! Read more
I gave it 2 stars for the restaurant cleanliness but the burritos was not good. The burrito was over priced & not rolled... properly- it fell apart when I tried picking it up. Furthermore, ppl there's better authentic Mexican food near the area. It wasa hit & miss for me. Read more
Late night stop, half past midnite. Just a few ppl finishing their meal inside. Ordered large steak burrito dinner. It included... a side portion of rice & beans. Absolutely no flavor, no tastiness, nothing that was pleasing to my taste buds. And hey, I havegreat taste buds. Read more
I tried Tortas for the first time from here which I found out is a Mexican style toasted sandwich or similar to a panini, and I... was happy with my choice. I had the Torta de Milanesa con aguacate which is the breaded steak with avocado and I would recommendit. My bf said they had the best tripitas tacos that he has had in Chicago. The decried beans are really good and creamy texturetoo. I would definitely recommend trying it here they have lots of options! Read more
Update June 2022: They no longer have the lunch special. Wow! I went here for lunch and the taco I had was excellent. I was... very happy to see they had shredded beef. Both many places have shredded beef, it was great. The beef was tender and juicy. Theflavor was on point. The toppings were fresh. I was also given two different sauces. Both the green and red were great. Inoticed after ordering that they have Jamaica, I'll have to try it next time. And, there will be a next time as I want to trythe other offerings. There are about 6 tables inside, with room for more. The people were very friendly and helpful. Again, Iwill be returning! Bicycling: Milwaukee has a bike lane so it makes it easy to get here. There's a bike rack out front. The onlything that would be an improvement is if they had outdoor seating. Also, it is also a quarter of a mile from the North BranchTrail. Read more
