I've been going to Bruna's since I was a kid and lived in the area. The flagship of the Oakley Avenue restaurants. Always enjoy... the veal scallopini, various pasta dishes. Wine list and cocktails are substantial. Will often see Chicago politicians amongstthe regulars. I guess that's authenticity as a landmark. Read more

My husband and I came here on our mini-moon to Chicago. I can not express how much we loved this place! The food was top notch (... everyone must order the tiramisu that the owner makes from scratch). I grew up fiercely proud of my Italian heritage, butgrowing up in MN, we do not have a heavy Italian population, so no authentic mom and pop Italian restaurants. This place made myheart and soul so very happy! I recommend this to anybody who is in Chicago! Read more

It was extremely good food! We met family there who were all in town for my daughter's run in the Chicago Marathon. The... spaghetti dish she had was perfect for a dinner the night before the race! Read more

There is nothing bad I have to say about the food or the wait staff. But they were super short-staffed; the three staff were... running, huffing and puffing, sweating, and trying their best. Our dinner lasted 2 hours and everything took very long. Igenuinely feel bad for the staff. Meanwhile, the owner of the restaurant was sitting in a corner, doing absolutely nothing whilesnacking on a cake, and not helping the chaos of his restaurant at all. At the very end, we asked for the bill multiple times. When no one came back with our check, we had to get up and wait next to the bar so we could finally pay. The server wasfrantically calculating the bill manually! None of their systems are computerized and automated?!? Maybe the owner could helpcalculate the checks, instead of snacking in the corner? That is just mean. Read more

By far the best Italian food in the city! They have a patio with tents separating each table. Perfect for social distancing and... completely cozy with the personal heaters. We had the special lobster ravioli in brown butter sauce and the grilled calamari asan appetizer. The food was so yummy!! Street parking is easily found and free. Public transit is also really close with thewestern Ave pink line and western bus within short proximity. Read more

Small intimate setting with a quaint old world feel to it this place will make you feel like you?re in old Italy! The portions... are large as to be expected from any good Italian restaurant and the atmosphere was welcoming with attentive staff. Food wasgreat and exactly what I had hoped for. If you?re in to hearty flavorful fresh Italian good made to order, this is the spot foryou. Read more
