Amazing! An unexpectedly nice surprise. You?d not expect such a lovely and warm place from the outside. The food is... wonderful! I lucked out with street parking right in front.. I ordered the chicken plate along with a few empanadas... my usual order. But... the empanadas were stale, very hard. The chicken plate was ok... they usually provide a few slices of lime but not this time. Mywaitress didn't come back to my table so I asked another waiter for something to drink. Her service was poor. She eventuallydropped off water and darted away from my table so I wasn't able to ask for limes. I ran out of water but she never came by toask if i needed anything or to offer additional water. I was so unhappy with my food and service on my visit. Still tipped her20% but I was better off staying home; I will stay away for a while. Read more
I was there yesterday and my experience was not good with the waiter, he never brought us the drinks and he gave us a soup that... we never ordered, and the answer was I'll pack it. We asked for a chicarrón and the arepa was super hard, you couldn't evenbreak it with a hammer, the waiter's response was, that's how it's coming out. wow a waiter is supposed to work if you tip butthis man has no idea about that. Unfortunately this place is not the same. The last time we were here was to dine in and we were treated well. This time we... wanted to order food but there were no signs where to order. When we were asked if we wanted to sit, we said we just wanted anorder to go and the waiter rudely said to order it at the register. We went to the register just to get ignored and be pushedaround. When we ask a server where we can order, he rudely said there's a line and pointed at a "line" of two people but whenwe were there there was no line. This place was chaotic and the restaurant wasn't even a full. My family and I will not longerbe coming to this location anymore. I had high hopes for this place. I ordered an hour before closing. Ordered the carne asada and half a rotisserie chicken and a... side of plantains. The plantains were dark, dry and hard. They tried to tell me that it was just how it appeared but was fine intaste. Bullsh*t. They ended up charging me for an entire chicken despite it being split in half. Really good flavors, nice portions and reasonably priced. Chicken was a bit dry but dipped in the Aji was delicious. Chicken... soup was made with interesting dark meat with little bone which makes it hard to eat and smell is a little weird. Empanadas andchicharrones were tasty! Service was friendly. I come here regularly for takeout and the food is satisfying. It's a very comfortable spot; the atmosphere is especially... welcoming in the winter with the flames of the rotisserie grill on. The employees are friendly and enthusiastic to recommend adish if asked, and the food is filling and flavorful. The chicken is occasionally dry, but delicious nonetheless with a littletomatillo salsa(?). It's also worth mentioning that the prices here are generous. Read more
