I'm always glad when I find a fully vegan place, I wish there were more around. Bloom does a great job mixing flavors and... plating wonderfully. I like to see the pride they put into each dish as it's placed on the table. I'd come back. Read more

With Spring '22 there is a new Bloom in Chicagoland to talk about. A fresh contester for the Top Spot of veg*n restaurants in... the area. While it lacks the view of Althea or the outdoors experience of Spirit Elephant, it does offer an interesting optionsfor the plant-food lovers. We gave it a try 2 weekends in a row. Checked all the desserts and many of the Quick Bites and BigBoys offers. Love the mix of influences - Mexico to Japan and all in between. A reverence to the Her Majesy the Fermentation -still, it's not NOMA, but better than most. Talking of NOMA - we liked the most the focus and uniquness of the sauces and theirinnovative use. I need some inside secret info... I would skip the Tamal Ranchero - simply not as exciting as the other optionsin the list. Would have been nice to see some non-alcoholic fresh creations - hopefully they will show up with the summerfruits. Ambiance is lively, a bit on the loud side. The tempo is kind of quick, matching the beat of the neighborhood maybe?Consider making a reservation - tried two separate ways online, both worked great. 220425 Read more
