This was my first time at tapas so I may be a little biased but I was blown away by the quality of the food and drinks. We had a... guest that was gluten and dairy free and we were able to accommodate her well with this. The scallops, jamon iberico, and cheesewere all great. Best thing was the sea skate, which is basically a stingray. So flaky and delicate, with great presentation. Thesangria was awesome as well, as it was not too sweet. Really good Spanish food complemented by good service and interesting cocktails. It's a bit pricey but a nice spot for a... splurge night out. The ambiance is suitable for a romantic dinner for two as well as a group of 8-10, with a reservation. Read more
Probably one of the best Spanish food restaurants in Chicago. The paella is a must, and everything I've ever had on the menu... here was pretty much awesome, apart from once getting shrimp that were too fishy smelling and tasting. Read more

tl;dr - Food was amazing and service was even better We went to Black Bull last night after our wedding shower. We were still... full from earlier and called to move our reservation back an hour, which we were able to do no problem. Ethan, our waiter, madethe experience. His knowledge and passion of the menu and ingredients was impressive. He was able to guide us through thedifferent parts of the menu and offer great recommendations. You could tell that Ethan loved the food and was so excited to beable to share the experience with us. Every single bite was top notch and the paella was incredible. I'm salivating as I'mwriting this just thinking about it. We will definitely come back to Black Bull and it will be at the top of my list whenfriends as for recommendations. Read more
