My husband and I visited our daughter in Chicago Saturday. We went to Beatrix for lunch. What a wonderful dining experience. The... food was amazing. The atmosphere was upbeat and friendly staff. Even the chairs were comfortable. My husband and I had thechicken enchiladas and our daughter had the avacado toast. The enchiladas had a little kick but not too bad. Very flavorful. We were really excited to have brunch here for our date. The food was fantastic but the customer service with who we thought was... a manager was rude and then the customer service lacked with our waiter. Our guess was waiter was new or just overwhelmed. Amazing brunch! It was still available at 15:00, we got in without a reservation on a Saturday, the service was fast and had... good recommendations. We got the Mexican scrambled eggs with guacamole and shakshuka - both delicious. Will come back! Read more

We went here on a whim during a trip into Chicago a few days ago. Probably the best 'random restaurant' experience we've ever... had! The food was absolutely, stunningly wonderful. The flavor combinations were unexpected, but had a synergy that made thewhole truly better than any of the parts. Beginning to end, every aspect of the meal was shocking, in the best possible way. Staff were all friendly and 'just right' attentive without being annoying. We often don't repeat restaurants in the city, sincethere are so many to choose from, but between quality and price, we'll be back here. Read more

This was such an awesome unique restaurant. Such a wonderful vibe this place has. If you order the short ribs, make sure you get... an appetizer! Some of the dinner portions were on the smaller side but delicious. My old fashioned came with a cute leaf to kickoff the cold fall night. I really like the restaurant because it's good for multiple occasions - casual hangout, coffee, drinks, more formal dinner, etc.... The service is exceptional. Some of the food is great value, and they have so many options to be gluten free, vegan, etc. Cuteatmosphere and vibe. The vibe is bustling and busy, but you can hear the people around you. And there is enough space betweentables that it doesn't feel crowded. Read more
